• Third Quarter : April to June 2013

Theo Raeken didn't think his life could be any better.

Even as child, he didn't have much hope with his life. Sure, he befriended Scott and Stiles and Scott was the best thing ever happened in his life, Stiles was there for the comic relief, and Theo shared a lot of thing with them. Till his parents, of the people that gave him life but forgot his existence, chose to move out because Tara needed a better environment for her future.

Great, so once Tara graduated, it was like Theo was living alone but under the roof of the Raekens couple.

He said at Lydia Martin's after party that he was interested in sciences because his once asthma spoilt his life, it was true and he got rid of it once in junior high, so maybe living in Beacon Hills wasn't that good. Then, as no one ever cared about him, he developed his own passion and future career. Maybe something with engineering, maybe some sciences research but something that could make him feel alive and not dying at the lack of love from his once family. So while still living with the Raekens, and using their money, he passed his driver lisence and the SATs at the start of his sophomore year, then dropped out of school when having sixteen. He walked out of their life and nobody noticed.

Not even Tara who used to take care of him.

Now that she was in some formation, he had no tie to hold him back and he embraced the hacker life. He didn't use the skills to do carding or steal people's money (he's not a thief and if a teenager like him knew about financial problem, others would know too and probably struggle more as they had family to provide), but he tried to use it as job. He would do services to people and they paid him (because they're too lazy to learn how to use a computer, or because they had the money), hence if he got caught he could be sure to have someone on his back, but he's cautious so he never came across any problem.

Usually not, and when his victim wasn't a former rogue too.

The day Ennis broke into his motel room was one he would never forget ever, and the session of torture by the twin in the back of Kali's bar afterward. Just because he send a virus on Deucalion's blog.

Moral of the story, always do some research on your victim, in case they got some past that you can't fight against (or, alternatively, never accept job from an internee, like he learned with Gerard Argent and later, Gabriel Valack, it always bit you back).

At least, it changed his life.

(He got a foster family and a group of friend after both cases.)

Since he lived with the ex-dealers, he felt like being a normal teenager again. His day were filled of classes (and interaction with other kids whose thought are all about passing grades) and work (like any others teens who wanted to have extra money, but in his case he had to participate to pay the rent). He can think about what teenagers usually think, study and homeworks.

Of course, at first, it wasn't that easy as he had to work freely for any of his foster care (Ennis' construction site, the twin's mechanics' shop and Kali's bar, fortunately Deucalion didn't ask him to assist him at the bank, he's not sure the accounting job would suit him), but after he went back to school, it was like he never actually left being a child. Although this time, he's like an actual kid, with friends and eating with people at lunch, and playing sport.

In the evening, after his shift in the dinner, he would eat a light supper and do his homeworks if he didn't have the time between practice and work. Sometime, one of his flatmates would be still awake too. It could either be Deucalion's silent presence that would manifest when he turn a page of the book he's reading, it could be Ennis trying to build another furniture because he can, or it could be one of the twin complaining about the stupid customers who didn't know thing about cars and then, Kali would add her comment about stupid customers as she did deal a lot, especially at night.

Tonight, the gang was all present for the dinner. That surprised him but he joined them.

    "What's that?"

    They rarely ate together.

    "Dinner."

He arched his brow at the obvious but as nobody wanted to answer him, he went along. Though, he wondered who cooked, because none of them were much of a chef.

"So, what do you want for you birthday?"

    Theo blinked. "My birthday?"

    "Yes, tomorrow."

It's true, it would be tomorrow.

    "How did you know?"

    "You told us."

    "I did?"

Now they talk about it, he did have mention it once at the start of the year, when the twins gifted him the renovated truck. He didn't think they would remember.

    "So that's tonight dinner for?"

"Of course not, but we had to content the child."

Well, if they want to considere as child...

"I want to go to Disneyland."

    "Tomorrow? After school?"

"No, not tomorrow, I'll had the night out with friends."

"Ah, to be young. Don't drink too much and don't drive after drinking."

    "Wouldn't even think about it."

It's a lie. Well, the night out part, not the friends part (because he did admit it, not that long ago), because his friends didn't even know his birthday like he thought the gang wouldn't know. And he panicked after saying wanting to go to Disneyland so he had to make up an excuse to not show his disappoitment. Not that he's disappointed.

Who did he thought he was to request this kind of present?

    "Happy birthday, Theo."

He's starting to think that he actually told everyone when his birthday would be when Nolan wished him the next day.

    "How did you know?"

"I asked Danny to hack on your profil on the school's file."

    "You're kidding..."

Nolan didn't seem to be kidding. The conversation lowered to whispering tone.

"Why didn't you just ask me?"

"I didn't want to embarrass you."

"And asking that kind of favor to the school's hacker wasn't?"

"No. Anyway, did you planned something?"

Theo blinked confusedly and it was back to normal voice again.

"Do you want us to spend the night with you?" Erica suggested.

Now they're eating outside of the school cafeteria, they got a longer table to fit them all.

"No, it's just a day like others."

"So, you're planning to work after training?" Kylie gasped.

"Don't say nonsense, I'll cover your shift, this is my gift," Hayden reassured him.

"Yeah, it's your eighteen birthday, it's worth celebrating."

Theo gave Tracy an ironic look because the girl didn't tell them about her birthday either.

"Be happy it's during a period where you could celebrate it with people, because some of us had to pass it alone due to the date," Malia huffed.

As a late bloomer, Malia celebrated her brithday somewhere in November, when most of her friends already got the age while she's stuck in the same age with kids younger than her.

"I know, we're going to have guy's night! Except Corey because he's too young."

As the group seemed to get it, they stopped trying to understand Nolan's logic.

And Corey didn't suffer from it as he already got plan.

"We wonder what," Tracy taunted him.

Since the dread doctors' case, the group noticed the boy didn't stay at home and neither was he in Sinema. But the blush was giving enough answer. He seemed to find another partner and it went better than with Lucas.

Jiang couldn't either having to do chores for his foyer. Josh and Gabe shrugged, consenting at the improvised night plan.

"Yeah, OK, but where do we stay?" Josh spoke up.

"Not at mine," Theo quickly said.

Not only he didn't want the guys to meet his foster care, but it would also give out his lie about night out. Which became a night in.

"We could do it at mine! My parents are out of town till sunday night."

"Thanks god you didn't say some fast food name," Gabe mumbled.

Theo had to admit that he feared it for a while too. It's someting Nolan was capable of.

So, it was just Theo, Josh, Gabe and Nolan at the latter's house.

They played video game most of the evening and did eat takeaway but it was fun and Theo had fun for one of his birthday, with friends. It was already good, when Nolan had to pull out beer to have more fun. Theo didn't know why he didn't refuse. Probably because of Deucalion's word about young one's fun night. In any case, he will certainy not drive after that.

"I don't know why I go along with that. You guys aren't even seventeen, right?"

    "In a month," Nolan slurred.

    "Two," Josh mumbled.

Gabe seemed passed out but Nolan said it was somewhere during August. The TV was still on but neither of them was sober enough to pay attention at what channel and what was currently playing. None of the boys seemed aware at the number of empty bottle on the floor either.

"And to say I stopped drugs to drink."

"Don't be an alcoholic, dying of alcohol is way worse than drugs."

"Both are bad. Besides we aren't going to die from drinking beer."

"You don't know, it's my first time drinking."

Which confirmed to be a bad idea.

After another row of bottle, Theo stopped in the middle of the one he was drinking and Nolan started to be clingy while sitting next to him on the couch (or was he actually on the carpet floor?)

"I heard that you gave Erica her first kiss while drunk."

"Did she tell you or did you ask someone who stalked us?"

This was an awful thought and Theo was surprised it didn't sober him up.

"She told me. She said that alcohol would open you up."

"Really? Wasn't it the other way around? She must be drunker than she let appear..."

"What about giving me my first kiss as birthday gift?"

"Shouldn't you be the one to give me a present?"

"Yeah, I'm not force-kissing you. And you had to be the one who deliver the kiss as the birthday boy and because you like me!"

"I do like you." Because it's true, he never got why people just don't say it when they like someone, he didn't have anyone who like him and state it freely (not even Tara) so now he had friends he liked and loved, he'll make sure to tell them. "But I'm not that drunk..."

He was. But the idea of kissing Nolan didn't sit right even drunk so he declined.

"Well, I am. And I'd like my first gay kiss to be you."

Then he felt his head be yanked on the side before being pulled in a passionate kiss. Nolan's whiny voice came up in a "not fair" that dragged on the end and he lost his marks. He guessed he let go of his beer unless it was Nolan who took it from him to drown his disappointment in it while seeing him kiss someone else.

He didn't know and he probably passed out after that.

He jerked awake later in the middle of the night to be cuddled against Nolan (and they were indeed on the couch) while noting Josh and Gabe sprawled on the floor. But feeling too tired by the beers, he let sleep fell on him again.

Next time he gained conscious again, it was morning and the sound of flush was whelming his eardrums. He recoiled against the warm body next to him and felt like being stabbed several time by the parasite sounds and the engulfing light of the day.

"What...?" Josh groaned at his side.

"That was Nolan, hangover didn't go well on him," Gabe explained.

"You didn't seem concerned at all," Theo mutteres pathetically.

"I wasn't the one who kept drinking so I could regret it in the morning..."

And truth to be told, Theo regretted his pride to keep drinking when Nolan told him he had a duty as it's his birthday (he must be already drunk to accept it).

"But we had fun," Nolan whiny-insisted while dragging himself in the armchair across the couch.

"I think some of you did," Gabe agreed. "I heard making out."

    Prick.

    "Really? I don't."

    Josh grunted, not totally awaken.

"I think I heard that too..." Nolan chanced a glance at him.

Traitor. Well, Theo was drunk so he could use this excuse and pretend he didn't remember kissing Josh (and it's true, he didn't remember, just they were closer than normal) and deny till his death.

Finally, hangover got the best on him and Theo rushed to the toilet.

"Never I drink to this point again," he promised himself.

    "Sure."

He's friend with a bunch of douche.

And his family was one of the best.

He did get his day at Disneyland. Fortunately it was way after his hangover, he would have regret to spoil the event because he was irresponsible to be that drunk.

Jordan Parrish was a young deputy with promising future as Sheriff's right arm.

And he was transferred there only two months after leaving the army along with his army mate Camden Lahey, who changed vocation to pursue a more teaching career. He's now coach of the R.O.T.C program (because he can't really leave it) and the football team caoch too starting this year of BHHS. They lived together and Camdem took custody of his young brother Isaac Lahey a high schooler, because of their father abusive character.

At first he wasn't used to live in a town, being raised in a city and being a deputy wasn't his first choice, but after quitting the army, he realized he didn't have anything left from his old life and decided to keep going on with a friend who still had a family somewhere.

It was a good decision as everything changed once there. Being a deputy remided him his time during war in Afghanistan but differently.

    And he found love.

That was what he was telling Camden tonight when the young coach ask him to hang out. They were in this bar, Alpha Pact but just left because they didn't feel like going home drunk while Isaac would be sleeping (or playing video game as the brat would have those moment).

But being guys, and young men now, they weren't used to talk about feeling. Just, they were flatmate so it could be good to warn if they ever take someone home.

Like this cute florist Camden was flirting with.

"You don't even like flower," Jordan said once leaving the shop.

"I do now that Carrie was selling them."

He even got her name, since when it was going on? He didn't even notice it, maybe he was too wrapped up by his own romantic relationship.

"And even her name matched my past."

Carrie comes from Charles, and the name have 'army' meaning. Jordan scoffed, because the man's was deep into it.

"Alright, I'll stop talking about me. You were saying you find the woman of your life?"

"Yeah, but I'm not going to act like you."

    "Because she's taken?"

"Last I check, she said she had no one."

"Then, why not? You're free, she's free, unless she's not interested, I don't see why you're not a couple!"

"Are you saying that Carrie isn't interested."

"Shut up. By your smug face, the girl's interested, why don't you guys date?"

"I'm just waiting when she finished her studies, I'm not very pro of long distance relationship."

    "Study? How old is she?"

    "Eighteen."

    "She's a high schooler? What's her name?"

    "Lydia."

Camden stopped in his track and Jordan had to turn to check on him. Would he come to know her? From what he knew, there's no reason as she wasn't in the R.O.T.C program nor in the football team. He just wasn't aware that his brother has something with her, of course it ended this winter (and Camden knew as he bought him the bike so he could impress the girl), but well, this story was a little awkward to Cam's vision.

"Yeah, what if she chose to apply in a abroad university? Better wait."

"Hm... You're not judging because she just got eighteen?"

"Nah, dude, you guys got the age and didn't do anything yet, if you know where you're stepping, I'm supporting you."

Jordan nodded. They didn't do anything but there's definitly a bond between them.

Mason Hewitt was what the society call a proud and straight gay.

If he didn't show his interest in guys like the sterotype gay who was represented in media, he's certainly thristy for handsome guy in his entourage.

Like his best friend Liam's rival, Brett Talbot.

Because the boy of the private school got the dream body. An eight pack that cease to make him drool. Internally, he's well raised thank you.

Speaking of, his parents were really supportives and proud when he came out, but he guessed it had something to do about their constant absence in the house. He learned to be used to that but he's still somewhat lonely. Even now that Liam was now on the same school, he still had lacrosse training.

    It change at Valentine day.

He met Corey and they started to know each other and they barely going on the base when Corey was target by some deranged human traffickers. It was now past story and Liam got to know his boyfriend and they were happily dating when the end of the year was coming.

The senior of his boyfriend's group of friend ended their class and were just waiting for their college application's answer and they didn't went to school for side project (Corey suspected it's about going to party), so their table was sort of freed of member and Corey invited Mason to eat with them.

Most of them were future senior and those who Mason shared the same class were Hayden (Liam's another rival but from grade school) and her friend Kylie in history. As Mason didn't want to let his best friend eat alone, he proposed him to come along.

Hayden didn't appreciate his presence and made it clear by the way she glared at him whenever she happened to look at his side (which happened as Liam's sit next to Mason, who's next to Corey).

"Aw, what a bummer, even though the team reached national, we lose at the third place, and Theo who's the one who created the team will graduate," Nolan said with a pout.

"I don't see the point if he's not there anymore," Josh shrugged.

    "Yeah, right," Gabe agreed.

But Mason thought it got kind of ironic by the way he said it.

"Right? I kind of want to withdraw."

"If you do, I'll fucking kill you," Gabe threatened.

"Geez, I was kidding! No need to be so rude," his friend shot quicky, taken aback.

Gabe glared at the other member, promising them the same treatment if they ever think about it. Josh and Jiang (and Corey) raised their hands in attempt to calm him, but they probably wouldn't consider it.

"But you do need to do tryout as most of the player would graduate," Kylie Tate commented.

"And that some wouldn't stay for other reason," Nolan mumbled while glancing at Corey.

They must referencing his ex, Lucas, who was also forced to play for the team.

"I think I know someone who'd be interested," Jiang said suddenly. "I knew this girl, Tierney, she's tough."

"Did you know her back when you're..."

Nolan didn't keep on but with the movement of his hand, he was talking about something only the guys knew.

"Yeah, but she didn't do something like I did," Jiang rolled his eyes.

"But the team is far from having its presence. We don't even have a captain," Josh sighed.

"And neither letterman jacket, I mean, wasn't it the point of sport team?"

"Not for Beacon Hills, it seems," Hayden coughed.

"There isn't even a cheer team, like we need some cheers to encourage us!"

"If you need cheers to win, maybe you shouldn't play," Liam muttered.

Kylie chose to interven before Hayden did. "Well, I guess having a cheer team could change Beacon Hills a little. I could gather a team! First, I'll ask Sydney to assist me!"

"Wasn't she a senior? Won't she be graduating?"

"There is... some complication." Kyie leaned in, urging them to do the same and whispered the last part, like a secret. "It stay between us, but she failed most of her courses, so..."

The others juniors winced because it did hurt to fail class, especially when they will be concerned too.

"But that is? You only got one candidate as fellow cheer?"

"I'm sure people could be interested! Nothing ever happen in Beacon Hills!"

Mason agreed and was considerably interested by the future club. He could use some sport too. And if that meant cheering for his best friend in a more noticeable way, why not?

Isaac Lahey was having a good time.

The end of the year was approaching and with every senior having put their application wish, they got most of their time free. With his brother, they talked about his future.

As he didn't have best choice of career, he choose to study animal, liking the idea to help other beings that were less confusing than human. He applied to the community college with scholarship thanks to lacrosse and will lived in the dorm most of the year, returning for break and holidays.

Now, all the seniors were enjoying themselves in the rave-up set up for them in some gym ran by Kate Argent (Allison's aunt, they said).

Isaac didn't see Lydia anywhere but it wasn't like it concerned him much now, as he was being in the agreeable compagny of Erica. He heard that the ginger (strawberry blonde would have Stiles corrected him) was going to Stanford and the blonde in his arm in the same community college than him (studying healthcare).

When he tried to have a look where his friends where, he noted that Danny and Matt were chatting lightly before being bothered by Stiles, which made him low-key chuckle. If the first was accepted in the Ivy League, the second one was going to study photography at USF and the Sheriff's son would study criminology in some college. Though Isaac suspected it would be in the community college.

Speaking of, he was dragged away by Harley and Danielle who wanted to chat him up in some way rather hotly. Both of them also applied to the community college, Harley studying to be caregiver and Danielle in litterature.

He knew that Scott and Allison woud go to Davis because Scott want to be vet and Allison want to be with him and study history. And he aslo knew that they wanted Kira to join them, but the rest didn't concerned him, so he didn't got much info.

When the music changed to something slower, he wrapped his arms around the blonde's waist and checked her reaction. She had her eyes closed and wzd moving along the rhythm. He lift his gaze again and met an unexpected couple.

Theo and Malia were slow dancing, really closely. But what surprised him most was how calm the girl was, which didn't actually match her character. But guess everyone could change. And they were kind of cute. He didn't hear much about their project, just that with Theo's whole year performance he would have received some fee waiver of high University.

His eyes came across with other people he knew from sight. Boyd and Kyle from the R.O.T.C program with Boyd enlisting probably, the Stewart shy girl Tracy who was victim of aggression not lately this year and would study law to follow her father's step.

Which reminded Isaac of someone else, Jackson.

If he was looking for his friend, he was surprise to find him walking to their way and even more taken aback that he started dancing agaisnt them. Erica didn't seem to mind so he didn't say anything. But it was an unexpecting turn of the evening and he wondered if Jackson drank before that.

Later, though, he didn't even think about questioning it as he got a very good time.

Liam Dunbar sighed at his nemesis' smirk.

Brett used his one foot taller to mock him, but it won't last because Liam's going to end him. Even if he never manage it the last two years playing against him. Now, that Jackson was graduating, he will be the captain (Jackson suggested it to coach and even Kira, sort of advisor and trainer, backed it up, and coach did appreciate his vigor).

And OK, Brett was already a captain on his own team and would be again next year, when they will play again (but for the last time), but leave him have his moment.

Having I.E.D was difficult for him and it's only being at Beacon Hills (playing with more tough and deranged guys than him) that he managed to keep it under control, so to be nominated captain was a huge step for him.

Especially when there was a great player like Gwen. And playing with a girl as good as her was a honor to Liam who hope he wouldn't ruin it with his fricking illness.

He wanted to announce it to her mother so she could be proud of him and not worry that his problem would be an issue for the rest of his life. But he wouldn't because it may crush Jenna Geyer if he lose temper during his next year as captain. Which would be worse, something even his step-dad couldn't do anything to help him...

And he just didn't want to disappoint his parents.

So, he ignored the boiling feeling that were trying to raise inside him and made sure to wipe the smug smirk and Brett's face by winning on him.

Brett Talbot couldn't help but tease the little ball of anger.

He admitted that he had some bad feeling toward Liam Dunbar when the kid ruined coach's car, because he worked hard to impress the man and the principal of Davenford Prep so his sister Lori and him could enroll the private school without fee and he didn't want all his work be ruined by some bratty prick that couldn't deal with his anger issue.

But once he transferred to the public school of Beacon Hills, he saw how the lad was struggling with his illness and how he was lighting up with his teammates, who were something, Brett had to admit.

    Especially their coach.

So, now, he's mostly picking on him to see how well he could keep his anger under control, trying not to go too far. Besides, he liked playing against the boy, they would have made a great team if they ever happen to be put together and trying to get along.

Not that would be a project in the near future with coach Finstock's weirdness.

    Bobby Finstock liked lacrosse.

Scratch that, he loved lacrosse and the boys who played it, but god how the team could sucks sometime!

And with the best players graduating, he felt his nerves going nuts.

Thanks god there was Dunbar, but oh, god, Dunbar's going to be captain.

The kid's anger issue was problematic but he didn't got any bad return for the year and half he was coaching him and he wished to keep it that way, but he couldn't help to keep his whistle with him whenener the boy was boiling rage.

Especially when the team was playing against Davenford and their captain's such prick to taunt his player.

He kept Dunbar on his sight but can't help and frown when one player caught his attention. He breathed deeply and blown in his whistle, then with a disgusted tone, he yelled :

    "Greenberg!"

How come that all the great one get out but the one he wanted to was held back.

Ugh, man, he hated bullying but the kid was killing him.

    Part 3

    Part 5

  • Second Quarter : January to March 2013

    Corey Bryant hated his life.

His parents didn't even notice his presence, let alone his absence, his boyfriend broke up with him, because they weren't in the same page, and school was starting to be exhausting with football practice, that he didn't ask to be part of.

He came in the Triskelion dinner with a huff after receiving a message from one of his little brother who's the one who told him they had a family dinner. One that he wasn't invited since his parents didn't even think about informing him. When he said they wouldn't notice his absence. It's not like he didn't tell them he had football training.

Of course, he was later than usual because he was dealing with Lucas for the last time, but yeah, none of the Byant wondered where he went or wrote him a note to tell him where they were. He had to ask his little brother in grade school.

Once in the dinner, he knew the night wouldn't go in better shape. The guys of football team were there too. Because that's where Theo work.

OK, so, him breaking up with Lucas would have been more tempestuous if the guys didn't intervene. But they only did because they were in the same team and because Lucas was Nolan's friend and Gabe was only there to stop his noisy friend (which didn't help much as Nolan was still so noisy about his relationship) while Josh and Jiang were pretending to be high. In the end, after they broke up, it was Theo that made sure that won't impact on their game, because captain's order.

Maybe he could be less hard on Theo as he seemed to be working harder than him. Having to go on his shift even after an exhausting day at school (because he was also part of the school swim team).

And between his indifferent family and the noisy guys, his choice was quickly made as he headed to the table of four students intead of four members family which probably didn't even have a seat for him. They quickly made a place for him and Nolan even shove him his plate of fries.

"What are you guys doing here? I thought Theo didn't want you to see you during his shift."

Josh and Gabe rolled their eyes while eating their fries without seeming to answer him. Nolan, the quirky and talkative one, just sniggered and nearly choked on his drink, but it was Jiang who answered.

"He did, but you know Nolan, he's not the one who listened."

"Hey, not true! I only did that for you, dude!"

This time, it was Jiang who rolled his eyes.

"That's what he said, but it's just an excuse to surprise Theo."

The guys jumped as a new voice joined their conversation. They turned to see Malia and Erica next to their table. If they made a place enough for Erica, Malia took a chair from another set and placed it a the end of the booth.

    "Wouldn't it bother the staff?"

"I know the manager," Malia shrugged.

And they let it go because they won't be the one who were going to reason her, she knew her deal and how to defend herself, thank you.

"I didn't know we were having a meeting," Corey commented.

"We don't, but if it could be enough to annoy Theo, everyone's in."

That said, Nolan made a show to call a waiter. But his eyes were searching for their friend. And Theo noticed it too, he just seemed to be more busy with the customers he was serving. Which couldn't hold him that long as it was just a couple of father-daughter. Besides, he even ignored his friend to head to the counter and send them their other friend. Hayden raised her brow seeing their assembly.

"It's like school again, except I will be serving you. What will you take?"

She's not wrong as during lunch break, the football team would always eat together with the addition of the girls (Hayden, Kylie of his physics class and lately Malia from football and Erica who was senior like Malia and Theo). After they commanded, they asked politely (because Hayden was at work) if they could have the other waiter to serve them, at what the waitress laughed.

"Sorry, but not gonna happen. He said he rather serve the annoying family table than you."

She pointed the Bryant (without her knowing, Corey bet) and they all glanced at them. And truth to be told, the table did seem annoying as the two boys were so loud that the parents had to speak louder to be heard. The father-daughter, sitting at two tables from them, didn't seem they can take it any longer.

"Yeah, he needs every nerves he had to endure them," Corey grunted.

Thanks god he chose the guys, otherwise they would have see him with them.

Malia scoffed. "That's why I don't work here."

"Well, it's still better than Sinema where the clubbers didn't even seem to be sober," Hayden shot back playfully.

And her look slid to Josh to Malia to him. He turned aways quickly because yeah, he did done something he wasn't proud back there. Promise, he will moderate it.

At the moment Hayden disappeared behind the counter to pass their command to the kitchen, the Bryant started throwing a tantrum and Theo had to rush to their table so they won't break anything. Corey's pretty sure something will crack, if not the cutlery, it would be Theo's patience.

The doorbell rang and new customers showed up, but Theo was still busy with the Bryant, so Hayden went to take care of them, while the father-daughter ran out of patience and walked to the counter to pay their meal. Another woman was behind to cash register and after thanking them, she head to their table with their command.

"So, Malia, I didn't know you made friends," she greeted the football player with a bright smile.

    "Very funny, Laura."

"I'm serious! I'm glad to see you had people to hang out as you seem so lonely that summer. I guess you're all go in Beacon Hills High."

"Yeah, we're on the same football team."

Laura didn't expect that answer. "I didn't even know there was a football team."

"Theo created it. And I shared english class with Theo and Malia," Erica introduced herself.

The woman glanced at Theo, still dealing with the Bryant, with a look that said 'That boy doesn't cease to surprise me', before turning back to the group.

"Well, to thank you to deal with Malia, I'll give you half price for your meal!"

"For real? If that's the case, I'm going to stuck with you every time to half a cheap but filling meal!" Josh guffawed.

And well, it was very nice of Laura.

"You're sure about that?" Malia arched her brow "I could have pay for them."

"This is so cool to befriend you," Erica joked.

"Don't worry, I'm the one running the shop, I know what I can afford or not!"

Just then, the sound of a broken glass cut them from their conversation.

"And something as annoying like that was the kind of thing I don't want to deal," the manager of the dinner grumbled before heading to the Bryant table.

"Look like they want to broke every china from the dinner," Gabe sighed.

"Because it's not the first time?" Corey chocked on his meal.

"Probably not the second either. When we came, they already broke a plate full of food. Theo had to fill them back to avoid to be sued while they're the one who let it down."

"They're the one who need to be sued," Malia growled.

    Corey couldn't agree more.

A clatter stopped them from the rest of their meal as Laura's voice followed suit. Next they knew, the family was starting to shout louder, nearly drowning Laura's rattling instruction. Malia stood out from their booth and joined the manager to start cursing the family, Erica joined the commotion too, but she was more worry about Theo's bloody hand. The guys rushed to the assembly in the middle of the dinner, which totaly scared the new customers, and added their panics (mostly Nolan) to the chaos.

"To the hospital!" They screeched just to put the blame on the family.

"It was nothing! Barely a scratch!" The mother cried out, shutting Theo's response that matched her, then noticing Corey among them, she called him up. "Corey, tell them it's nothing!"

"Well, what I see is that my friend is in bad state and need the first aid! Maybe even stitches!" He answered back, not helping his family at all.

    "You little...!" His father started.

The guys didn't wait to discover what he was mumbling and headed to the hospital even if Theo was saying it was nothing. When they left, Laura and Malia was still blaming the family and even threatend to sue them.

Theo did need stitches. Fortunately it was on his left hand, and though it would be painful to use it for a while (especially during football practice), he would heal in short time. They were all waiting to see him in the waiting room, even the girl from the father-daughter duo who were about to leave the dinner when the chaos rose, as they were the one who take them to Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital.

"Hayden said the screaming match ended in Laura and Malia (and Erica)'s favor. The family will pay fines to the dinner and its staff, including Theo," Josh told them while reading his texts. "Oh, and Malia did pay for our meal."

They remembered, a little late, that, indeed, they didn't pay the food. They will make it up for Malia, later. Now, it's about Theo. The door opened and nurse McCall walked out, she smiled at them and let them see their friend. Theo wasn't glad about the whole situation.

"Why did you have to take me to the hospital?" He huffed.

"You were bleeding out! And even stained the Stewarts' car with how much you were bleeding!" Corey said and looked at the Stewart girl standing in the corner.

Theo addressed her an apologetic smile but turned an annoyed look to them.

"I could have deal it with the first aid kit."

"Dude, stop playing tough, you had a dozen stitches, the nurse said the cut was deeper and bigger than an usual injury by broken glass could do."

"That's because I tripped on it and it sort of empaled in my skin and some frangments were stuck inside my flesh, but otherwise it was nothing."

"By the way you describe it, it doesn't seem to be nothing."

Corey felt shuddering by picturing how bad the wound was when the nurse had to deal it.

"Yeah, like the bills, I don't have anything to pay it!"

So that's why he was complaining to be taken at the hospital.

"I can't believe you're woried about that while being treated by the professionnal medical. Let me take care of that, kiddo."

    "Deucalion? Why are you here?"

Theo was so shocked he looked like a deer-caught-in-headlights. The old man smirked at him without saying anything and had to slip when the nurse asked him for additional information. Seeing the problem seemed solved, the Stewart girl made her exit too.

"Hey, Tracy, thank you for the ride," Theo called her out.

She smiled shyly and vanished behind the door, but someone else took her place. Corey remembered seeing him during an audition to apply in the football team, he didn't make it because he had a severe asthma. His name's Scott, it seemed.

"You alright?" Scott asked Theo. "I didn't know you knew Deucalion."

"It's a long story, he's now my guardian."

That surprised Scott but he accepted it and after making sure that everything's OK, he let them to find his mother. Before Theo's guardian head back, the guys wanted to know more about him. Because his early explanation was too intriguing.

    "You're orphan?"

"No. Yes. I was emancipated before meeting him."

"Dude, I wish I was emancipated too," Corey mumbled.

But they all hearded him. Nolan's the one who asked him confirmaltion : "The family just now... it was yours?"

    Corey sighed painfully but nodded.

"Well, you don't chose your family," Josh tried to cheer him up.

"More like they didn't choose me. Didn't you notice they didn't even notice my absence till I was on Theo's side? They would totally forgot me if I don't remind them."

"That's probably because you had two little brothers."

"Yeah, they were little monsters, but when my big brother was there, they noticed him more they could even remember me."

"That's a huge family," Theo said nodding.

Gabe nodded too, because except the two of them, the others were only child.

"That still didn't explain how you got to be under his care. Deucalion got some dark past," Jiang said.

"Probably because I also got some dark past."

"Don't we all?" The asian said back.

Corey glanced at the others guys who shrugged. They didn't seem to agree on that. Even Josh who used to do drugs.

"I mean, I used to be high but I used legal way."

Although an underage doing drugs was nothing legal.

Jiand snapped. "That's it. He used to be a dealer."

That landed. And Josh coughed, he probably had met him and just realized it.

"Then, he retreated before I fell into that, because I never heard about him."

"Yeah, about a year ago, he left that behind and is now working a normal job."

"Banker," Theo supplied. "How do you know that?"

"Well, I said everyone got dark past. I used to be in juvie last year, thus making me hold back a year."

    "What did you do?"

"Hey, not fair, Theo! You can't ask people what they did if you don't even say your own story!"

"This is not about fairness, it's about trust here."

"Well, Jiang did most of his part, you could do that to."

"I didn't go in juvie, but what I used to do could put me in jail. I was sort of able with computer."

"That's it? I thought you were dealer, too. For my part, I stabbed someone."

That kind of confession was certainly unexpected as the guys distanced themselves instinctively from the asian boy. Which earned them an unfazed look from Jiang that reminded him he's still their friend, but they should have thought about it, to be put in juvie it was surely something dangerous to the society.

    "And they died?"

"No. I don't think so, or they wouldn't have free me, right? Anyway, I'm also placed in a foyer as my family couldn't take me back."

    "Because you stabbed someone?"

    "Because they passed away."

    "After you stabbed someone?"

"Because they passed away, I came to stab someone. Are you reassured or should I uncovered another pan of my life?"

"Is that as dark as this one?"

Jiand didn't have the time to answer that as Deucalion came back to take Theo home. Theo bidded them goodbye and the guys headed back home using Gabe's car as he's the one that drove them here when the others were in the Stewarts' car. The tension with Jiang ceased during the ride and Corey was thankful to have them as friend, since he didn't have car for himself.

Maybe he should really emancipated himself and be put in adoption.

The next day, Theo's bandaged hand surprised the coach during morning practice, and Theo had to be benched for the entire training till it healed. Fortunately, it was before their next game. During lunch, the team found their group back. And Corey was among them, as he was usually with Lucas.

Now, it was just them, with the girls sitting on the table next to them, with the addition of Tracy, now.

(Later, there was even an asian girl, Kira, for a short amount of time.)

And Corey thought that he didn't hate his life that much.

Kira Yukimura was excited for her return to Beacon Hills.

It was the last time as she was now a senior but she could apply to Stanford University and their science program, as well to be closer to her friend.

Not that her New York friends weren't goods but she had more bond with Malia, and Scott and Allison and even Lydia.

The first time she came to Beacon Hills, she thought it was a huge joke to have her history project in this lost town and feared that the people here would be weird. But her worries just came from rumors and the truth was way better. Her trip in the town only last four days, the time of the exposition would take, but she did make good use.

She befriended Malia and her sister Cora, took interest in the lacrosse sport and even played a game with the team that were actually really nice and she got to know cool kid like Allison and Lydia.

But she didn't remember there was a football team. And since Malia was in, she would have know, so it must be something new from this year.

"Nothing serious, it's not like they could be compared with us," Jackson smirked.

But Kira noticed the lacrosse captain's smirk wasn't that sure anymore.

"But they did win most of their game and were admitted to regional games," Danny noted.

The point was relevant but just served to anger Jackson more as Kira had to hide her smile. She was only participating at the lacrosse training because she like the atmosphere and because coach Finstock invited her, saying that her agility would push the guys up a little as they seemed to slacken, like his granny could more athletic than them.

It was of course a sting to motivate the team.

And the players did seem to be more firece during the training, according to Kira. Especially Liam, the sophomore. She remembered last time she saw him, he just made into the team (and first line!) and was really good. He still is and could be the next captain once Jackson graduate. There was even a girl, Gwen, and she's good but as everyone accorded it, she lacked stamina.

During a break, she joined Scott and Stiles on the bench, their assigned place even if they do take training seriously, and ssked them about this football team.

"It's Theo who founded it," Scott told her.

She replaced the guy in her mind. He sat among his teammate in the school cafeteria and Malia would taunt him when they would sit back to back. He's handsome and totally had the body to be football player.

"We went in grade school together but he moved out after fourth grade. He returned in the town at the start of the year," Stiles said shrugging.

"Was Malia the one that applied or was she invited?"

"She applied. I was there at her tryout, she's really good."

"Well, she sure is, the girl's wild," Stiles snarked.

Kira knew the two had a history, but it was nothing serious. She just wondered how they could even got a link as they could barely stand each other with their clashing character. Though, it wasn't a good point, as even with a likely type like Lydia, Stiles couldn't have a relationship with. Besides the guy must be too busy with taking care his mother to even think about relationship.

Kira returned to training when the coach called her to be goalie, so she help the boys to heighten their agility. Except Jackson and Liam, and Matt, the others weren't that agile. Isaac got chided as he seemed to be in particularily bad day.

Kira then noted that Lydia wasn't in the bleacher to assist the training. Harley was there but even Allison was absent due to swim practice.

When she returned to New York, she exchanged a lot with Allison, and she somehow got that Lydia and Isaac were a thing. Not labelled, but the two were totally shagging, as they say. At first, Kira thought that Lydia's type was the ripped athletic (because she did get the chance to see the guys topless) as Jackson, Aiden (now graduate, but a then lacrosse player when she was there) and Isaac were all in the lacrosse team. But then, she also noted that the guys all got a brand new car (porshe for Jackson and moterbike for the others two) and Kira came to the conclusion that Lydia seemed to be the superficial girl that took a lot of attention of her look. Which wasn't a wrong but it's kind of sad as the girl was so smart she could live without a partner (like none could reach her perceptive mind). Although, now, she got that she was only putting with them to have fun.

(Even if the aftermath wasn't that fun for the guys)

Kira wasn't one of cheesy love, but she got a boyfriend and they broke up because it was the high school sweetheart kind. Which wasn't something that any of them was looking for. She's not like Lydia who could get all the guy she want or Allison who stick with her first love, or Malia who hook-up with some guy, she's the kind of girl that considered friendship before anything else and could fall for a friend.

(She will later get it's called demi-romantic.)

As four days was really short, Kira had to head to New York back, to her friends' disappointement.

"Couldn't you stay longer? It's the week-end after tomorrow," Malia pouted.

"Which means I still have class tomorrow."

Erica shrugged. "Call a day off."

"I had to take the plane that the school paid for me."

"Miss it." The blonde suggested again.

"They paid the tickets," Kira repeated.

Not that she didn't had the money to pay another plane, but she doubted her parents would allow that. Or they could allow if she explained it to them, Ken and Noshiko Yukimura could be really understanding with their only daughter. And Allison did ask her to stay as her birthday was this week-end.

"It must be annoying to pay a week-end ticket, not only it's expensive, it would be also all taken," Tracy said.

    Yeah, that too.

"I'll pay your ticket, stay," Malia insisted.

"You don't have to. I will see if I can delayed the return ticket."

"I asked you to stay, I will deal with the additional fee."

Her friend could be really stubborn when she wanted to. But Kira was well raised and she knew how to be polite too, so she made sure to deal her own problem.

Whatever if Malia came from a wealthy family or not.

Though, she had to deal about the place she will stay as the school only paid for three nights in the motel. Since she had to count on Malia (sigh).

At least, she could celebrate Allison's birthday.

Lydia Martin was known to throw the biggest and best party in Beacon Hills.

She started her image at the start of her sophomore year, when she realized that to be see as a Queen Bee she had to date the winning team of the school, lacrosse captain.

It just happen that Jackson was as about image than her and they split when Allison entered in the picture. The girl's pure, the girl's beauty, she put them in their place and Lydia broke up with Jackson so they both stop hurting each other. But she never said she will stop being his friend of hooking-up with attractive boys.

Why stop the fun when it presented itself on the plate.

Besides she needed to change idea with her parents divorce back in sophomore and how her father abandoned her an her mother even when he knew she was a little genius. Seemed that an average man like him couldn't get the smart woman in the gene he didn't get. Whatever, she could live without him, her mother could live without him too, even if that meant she had to work again. Yep, women need no men.

Not when they're average braincell, not when they're smart because then they would have torturous mind.

    (Like Stiles, like Theo.)

Isaac was fun to play with, but when he started showing feelings, that's when she had to put a stop. The guy's cute and nice (but too nice) and want a female presence that could control him, and if Lydia was fine with the second part, she won't hold the first part any longer (no way). Like Stiles, but the boy showed how obsessed he was with her in first hand so having to put up with him was a long road already. But then, they befriended, but then he's the one who back off when fighting against Isaac, so end of the story.

Although she said she thought about having an affair with Theo Raeken, the boy was as interested as basic human interaction, and she didn't have the patience to teach him. Maybe she could deal with a man like Scott, he's truthful, he's passionate, he's loyal, but he's taken by Allison. And she wasn't a cat buglar, sure she kissed Scott back in sophomore, but the couple wasn't one at this moment and she only did it to stop Jackson from falling for Allison. It was messed up back then, now, they're OK, and she won't do anything to break it.

She will even do big to celebrate her best friend's birthday (even if she wasn't eighteen anymore), it's an excuse to throw one of her last party as she'll head for Stanford next year.

The word was spread, and half of the school was there at the Martins house (not the lake house as it was sold). Even those who aren't used of party.

Like Tracy Stewart, Lydia's pretty sure the girl didn't even have friends before starting to stick with Malia Hale and the football team. Speaking of, the group came together and stuck together most of the night.

By one am, everyone started drifting or passed out. Lydia started to shoo most of them away but hold back some seniors for an after. Most of the lacrosse team was there, but barely four members of the football team but all her friends were there. Since she currently wasn't seeing anyone, she could have some fun while helping her bestie to get some.

They played seven minutes in heaven.

She thought that as teenagers, everyone knew the rules. Malia didn't, and to be honest Theo didn't either, but he must feel awkward to say it so he let the girl showed her unawareness alone (Coward). Thanks god, Malia got Kira as friend, the sweet girl explained her the rules and even though Malia thought it was a stupid game, they played it.

First, she spinned the bottle, but when it landed to some unattractive young man (that she didn't even know the name) she used the fact that she's the host to divert the rule. As master game, she spin the bottle so the first person got the chance to spin it and got his seven minutes with the someone the bottle was landed (hopefully not her) and she will entertain the rest of the players with an ice-breaker (till next time the bottle landed on her).

In short, the after would split in two 'groups'. Those who got their seven minutes in heaven (or hell) and the rest who told their story through two truths one lie (because not everyone know everyone, so hey, one stone, two birds!).

During the first seven minutes, everyone got to know that Vernon Boyd was in the R.O.T.C because enlisting could make a lot and that except his sister, he had no one. And that Kira half-Korean and Half-japanese that couldn't speak either language (a shame, Lydia could even read archaic latin because she got bored of basic latin).

Next, while Danny got his seven minutes with unknown senior girl, they discovered that Tracy Stewart got a skin graft at eleven because she fell from a bicycle (really bad fell, then) and that she never knew her mother. And that Erica Reyes could actually prevent her seizures and that her dog was the one who changed her life (of loner and physical maintenance, because Lydia's pretty sure the girl wasn't that attractive before winter break).

When Danny's spin got him Stiles, Lydia scoffed seeing her gay friend rolling his eyes in adavance. Allison confessed that before coming to Beacon Hills, she was only two years in U.S.A as she lived in France before that and that she was actually not that good in English (she didn't actually say it but it was during those two years struggling with the international language that she got held back a year and was actually nineteen years old, but she didn't have to if she didn't want to). Theo then said that he started being interested in sciences when he was nine because his asthma was serious to him (thanks god he get rid of it after moving out of Beacon Hills) and that he never had a relationship (whatever that means).

(And suddenly a junior came up from nowhere and saying he will be his first if he want. Theo and the football members called him Nolan and was saying how drunk he was and he should head home. Lydia was so shocked of his appearence that she nearly missed Theo saying he will take him home, but thankfully Boyd proposed to give him a ride, as he wanted to leave the after party anyway. And since he made his confession, he was free to.)

Stiles spinned the bottle and it stopped at Kira and the two friends walked to the closet with a grin. Harley came out as bi and that her first time with a girl was dreadful (maybe they weren't prepped or they didn't do all the researches about girls first time). Danielle said she's bi-curious and that she could take down all the guys in the room if she want to (nobody doubted her words after seeing her stature and her arm muscles).

Kira's hand was trembling when she spinned. And like a movie, it landed between Allison and Scott. There wasn't even use of bargain, the couple said they were a package deal so the two of them will get seven minutes in heaven with Kira. When Lydia met her eyes, she knew it will be heaven for the three of them (from the time Allison came out as bi to her, Lydia knew she wanted to have a threesome with the Asian, and since it's her birthday...) and everyone was so surprised that it took them time to recover and they only got Stiles' confession. His mother was sick of a mental illness that made her disillusioning and he's hesitating about becoming private investigator or in the law enforcement.

(Once the trio walked out of the closet, they were all flustered and Malia bluntly asked Kira if they shagged. The silent was talkative enough, especially the way Kira was blushing and the couple's pleased grin and Lydia can't help but chuckled at Matt's utter shock and Stiles' proud face to his best friend.)

Allison and Scott (as package deal) got Erica which made the trio raised a brow. Jackson admitted he was adopted and that he was bi. If no one dared say anything, Theo said it was a good thing for the first because that meant he was actually wanted by someone, which Malia agreed (and it probably changed Jackson's feeling about this new guy with perfect body and physical condition, much to Danny's joy). Malia said she was homeschooled for eight years because at nine, her biological father was put in jail for having sell drugs to underage and that she only went back to public school because her sister -who's her father's sister's daughter- wanted to.

(Lydia, and most of the audience took more time than needed to understand it. Stiles then exclaiment by the way he's used that she was adopted by her cousin's family and everyone nodded before frowning. Because wow, Stilinski was more understandable than someone else? Progress.)

Erica exited the closet with a smirk while the couple was dragging their steps. She then promptly spinned the bottle that landed on Theo. She raised a brow as they stood to head to the closet (having clearly set in mind to be his first relationship). Scott then let them know he wanted to be vetenarian because he missed his first ever beloved pet a dog named Roxie and that he may be bi (maybe, which made Jackson snigger). Danny said that he got enough GPA to actually graduate (like, right now) and his SATs could let him in the Ivy League and that his parents were one of the wealthiest hawaian back in the Island.

When the two friends came back, they didn't seem to have changed the statue of their relationship and then, Lydia didn't even care because Theo's spin landed on her. She will get some fun, it seemed.

Once in the dark of her closet, she placed herself confortably against him, which didn't even bother him. But he didn't look like he was going to do anything so she had to make a move (but not force him into anything, she's respectful, thank you) as she didn't like to waste time. She made him play the twenty questions. Which made him scoff and he explained that Erica did the same. That intrigued and annoyed her as she wasn't the first to think about it, but it also meant that he wasn't any forward with the blonde. They started questionning, and it may or may not exceed the twenty questions (or even the seven minutes), she didn't care as she was the host and the game master.

But just to play with the curious' mind, she placed a lingering kiss on his cheek and was satisfied to see her lipstick mark on his pale flesh. He didn't try to erase it as he got the idea she did it on purpose but shot her a quizzical look that she dismissed with her manicured hand. He should be pleased by her attention.

The whole room was watching her return and waiting for Theo's appearance as the guy had the great idea (no sass, here) to postpone it, making it look like he was recovering. And he had some to recover as the lips mark on his cheek was way too visible.

The game kept on and she spinned the bottle. But it wasn't as interesting after.

If the two had the chance in the future, Lydia would gladly work with Theo about science discovery. Or others intellectuals subjects as their great mind go along well.

    Erica Reyes' birthday soon.

Last month, at Lydia Martin's party (to lowkey celebrate Allison Argent's birthday), she played spin the bottle for the first time and got the chance to land on Theo Raeken (after some seven joyful minutes with the cheesiest couple she ever seen, a.k.a Scallison). They played twenty questions during the imposing time because he didn't seem to know what to do (and neither did she to be honest) and she even got a date with him.

Nothing romantic (but she wouldn't say no), just he spend her eighteen birthday with her.

Like, she didn't have a lot of friend, she didn't know if he could be called that, and she wasn't brave enough to tell those with who she spend lunch break to spend the day with her. But since the seven intimate minutes, she guessed she could do it with Theo.

She remembered lightly the other asthma boy who was friend of Stiles. He didn't pose as much thought in her like Scott, as she was head over heal about Stiles, but now he came back, she had to admit that he was as cute as her crush.

(Besides, Stiles got his first time with some girl she didn't even get the name then with Malia Hale while he was shouting loud and proud his ten year plan about his huge crush Lydia Martin. So, she could spend some quality time with Theo, who was nice to her.)

And he was adorable enough to call a day off on his shift at Triskelion (but not the swimming practice, because he need those in his college application) and even brought her a present (probably nothing crazy as he's broke, not that he's proud about the fact but he like to remind he can't afford something). Earrings.

That was the least he could do as he will spend the evening in her empty house.

Basically they did all the things a couple could do, but they were clumsy and bashful about it as none of them dated. It could seem ridiculous to admit it, but they played spin the bottle so it couldn't be that hard to do the rest!

Except, it did feel weird to hold hands or even cuddle while watching movies in the T.V. Thankfully her terrier Diana was there to change the mood and they were entertaining her more than each other.

It's when she proposed to transition to dinner that all went south. She didn't prepared anything to eat. One could say as loner and spending most of her time indoor, she would know how to cook but she didn't. Usually her mother would cook something and let it in the fridge or her father would let her some money to takeaway as they worked really hard to provide the family and afford her medications of epilepsia.

Sure, there were things in the cupboard, but they were raw. And how surprising was it that Theo could cook! Those were points as good husband.

Since they didn't have much to do during preparation and the meal, they talked. Like, during the seven minutes, she got to know what were his interests and leisures, but now she got to know a little about his past. That his parents weren't presents in his life (and not just because they were working) that he had a distant older sister (maybe it was due to their five years gap) and that he dropped out school for a year and half (thus him taking all the AP in his senior year as he didn't want to be held back and just graduated and be taken into college by fee waiver).

For him, she told him how her disability got onto her feelings and esteem. She felt lonely and was laughed at, she didn't even care about making friends as she was pretty sure they will talk behind her back and that she couldn't even do basic sport by fear of a seizure. And that, once, some evil children pulled a joke on her and made her discover her state during her weakest moment. How she was bullied because of her condition and how she felt so down that she fell in depression.

This time when he held her hand, it didn't feel odd and she accepted his silent feeling while they kept eating on the meal and petting the dog.

As time flew, she put the terrier to sleep and she pulled out the whiskey bottle from her father's cabinet and suggested they drink it.

"You do know that even at eighteen, you can't legally drink alcohol."

"Dude, I'm eighteen, I'm adult, I'm responsible of my own action!"

"Yeah, but I'm not eighteen yet, so I'm not responsible."

"Yet. It's only a month and half! You could do a little illegal thing!"

"I still had to drive back home and I don't want to crash on the road! Or worst, being pulled over by a deputy that charged me for thing as stupid as drunk driving!"

"Come on, just a little! I'm asking you?" She pouted. "Please? It's my birthday, I can't drink it alone?"

"Why not?" He rolled his eyes, unfazed by her antics.

"Because you're here to spend the times with me, not letting me down."

That was true as it was the deal. He hesitated more but finally gave up and reached out his hand. Thanks god she thought about pouring into some glass because the taste was horrible. She felt her throat burning as the drink running down and her entire palate shut down from taste. But being proud (and eighteen) she forced herself to finish her glass (who was more filled than expected).

Theo already abandoned at his first sip (it was probably a testing sip as the level of whiskey didn't seem to change at all).

"Come on, you didn't even try," she drawled.

    "Ditto."

If she thought her slow talking was ridiculous, Theo's pouty stance was worse. She sighed dramatically and reached for his glass to finish it, now that she's drunk, it would'nt hurt a little more.

But the taste was absurdly strong (even after three tries) and her whole body was warming up in an incredulous rate that she felt the room spinning.

The spinning bottle picture came into her mind and the connection was so weird it made her laugh.

"Erica?" A voice called her up.

She opened her eyes and Theo's concerning face was before her. They were closer than she remembered but then again, their position was also a little odd, as she seemed to be above him. Which was foolish, why would she be on top of him, as if she was straddling him?

However she was indeed straddling him, she noted as she let her hands slid on his chest then on his abs. He was well-built, glad to know it, she snuggled against him, feeling comfortable. A hand passed in her hair and it felt so good she nearly fell asleep.

    "Seems like someone's drunk."

Feeling the chest against her cheek vibrating along the talking voice's, Erica giggled childishly at the sensation. But then she got the reference.

    "Yup, I'm drunk."

"Hmm," Theo hummed making his chest vibrate again, which started another laugh.

She was really starting to doze off with the even breath and fall and raise of the cushion-chest when he spoke up again, but so low as if he was whispering to her ear.

"If you're going to sleep, I better head back."

She blinked for a few moment, trying to get the meaning of his sentence. Her head lifted to face him and she stared at him wordlessly. When he arched a brow because it was starting to be bizarre this eye contest, she felt brave enough to demand a last request.

"Would give me my first kiss?"

His raised his hand to cup her face tenderly and opened her his own vulnerable side.

    "Are you sure?"

She nodded but decided to voice it as to confirm it wasn't just drunk talk (which was too).

    "Yeah."

So they kissed. And made out, because the ambiance was set and because of the alcohol for her part, besides kissing was addicting and he wasn't a bad kisser for a first time (unless it was her drunk state judging?).

Later, after sobering a little (for her) and with sore lips for kissing so long, Theo went home.

"I can't believe you're letting me go after making me drink."

"Would you rather sleep here and have the walk of shame the following morning?"

    "Shame? Have you seen me?"

"Right, nothing to be ashame of."

They laughed and fell silent for a moment, content of themselves.

"Thank you for spending your time with me," she said.

    "Happy birthday, Erica."

She can't help but smile sweetly and watched him turned and walked out her yard. Then, he got in his dark blue truck and started the car after waving at her.

She shut her door behind her, leaned on it and breathed deeply, feeling light for the first time after a long time. (4/5/2020)

Tracy Stewart was a shy girl that usually underestimated herself.

She's gentle and smooth, thinking that could fill her mother's absence in the Stewart household, but her father was neither that present in her life as he had to work and made the end of month for them.

They lived in a cosy house with a yard and plenty rooms because she chose to take the attic as her bedroom, wanting to be isolated and had the best view before sleeping. Her father let her do it as he let her do most of the thing since he didn't have much time to spend with her. Not that their relationship are strained or what, but he's busy. He tried to make time so both of them could spend some quality time as father-daughter, like a movie night or even having dinner.

Because when she tried to do something without him, it didn't end well like at her eleven. She wanted to ride the bike just in the yard, but without supervision and with how unmaintened the garden was, she fell and scratched badly her shoulder. Fortunatey, the neighbor saw her accident and took her to the hospital where she had an urgent surgery.

She wasn't embarrassed to be seen with him as she only had him.

That was until this January night where they eat in the Triskelion dinner, where she met the guys and later befriended the girls. At first, she, like her dad, were eager to live the place as they were sitting no far from this very annoying family but then things happened and she wanted to help so maybe she could have friends.

    And she did, for both.

Sure, the guys were louds like most teen boys but they were also nice as most of them seemed inadequates with girls, especially the unusual group of them.

Malia's blunt and forward, she could be seen as insensitive, but she's actually not used of social skills. She's like her but she acted differently (very) but Tracy liked her honesty and she's sure it could help her in the active life where people could be meaner than her (besides Malia wasn't purposely mean, she's true). Erica was unpredictable, she could be calm but then snarked (and quite nastily), but Tracy figured it happened when the subject about disable people and how they are treated in the society's eyes. Then, there was Hayden, so young and so protective. Her independancy and will to help her sister's burden raised her admiration and Tracy wanted to be like her, but she's not, so she liked being close to the girl and thinking that she could be bathed in her fierce character (one day). And Kylie's joy of life was really catchy and Tracy caught herself smiling more and more when chatting with the girl.

Then, there was Theo. He's the only senior in the boy's gang, who was also the football team (And Tracy watched teens movies too, she really thought the football players would be just jock, but they were actually not all about sport? In fact, they're only in the team because Theo made them to?), he's also in the swim team and he's tutoring in sciences, he also worked in the dinner (along with Hayden) where she met them. He had all those project because he wanted to be taken in university by recommandation and scholarship, at this rate he could even have fee waiver, it wouldn't surprise her.

Tracy was average, she's a studious student but didn't have extra project except being in band club playing the piano or the orchestra. She thought about applying art club but she didn't have the skills, so she stayed with the piano. She also thought about joining the dance club, but the people there was too much and she chose to dance by herself. She didn't have much vision for her future job except maybe lawer like her father.

And after having the seven minutes in heaven with Jackson Whittemore, where they talk about their lawer father, she's seriously considereing it. Then, with just that exchange, she noted how unattractive she is to not be considered as potential hooks-up for neither Jackson Whittemore nor Kyle from the football team (and R.O.T.C program).

She didn't care, not really, high school relationship usually didn't last. They're young, they had the time to meet people and see how harsh the world was.

Though Tracy still didn't know how to drive.

She never needed to pass her driver lisence as there was the school bus to take her home to the school and her father would take her to farther place, and she wasn't confidente about her ability to self-manage, so she never drive.

Which surprised all her friends who all passed it (with the exception of the sophomre kids who aren't sixteen yet), even Malia who was homeschooled. Erica advised her to do it quickly as once her eighteen hit, she wouldn't have much time with the end of school coming soon (in three months). Theo shrugged as if saying that couldn't take that much time if she was serious about passing it (especially with the school proposing driving lessons), the hardest part would be to have her own car.

And Nolan agreed because he didn't had his while he passed his driving lisence at fourteen (because his dad's in the army, right). Gabe was the only one who got his car (a cheap one as his parents didn't want to break themselves just so their son would fool around (which was a sterotype of guys but he let it go as they were more worry about his little sister with Down Syndrom), as Josh's parents didn't trust him (even now he stopped his uptake with narcotics) and Jiang didn't have parents so neither the funds to pay a car (but he got his driver lisence, and this was before he stabbed someone).

So Tracy went to the driving lessons. However, as she expected from herself, she wasn't really skilled being the one behind the wheel. She wanted to ask her friends' help by learning from their own experience, but Malia wasn't a good teacher and Erica told her to believe in herself (which of course was what stopping her from succeeding). And she disn't want to bother Theo as his days was already filled with exhausting training and tiring shift as waiter, but he said he could take it as tutoring, so he taught her to drive the gap of time before his evening shift (where he bled like his hand was sectioned. Thanks god it healed in three weeks. Tracy didn't fear of blood -what do you think she had every months?- but it's seeing the appearance of the cut and the story behind the wound that hurt her).

Theo's car was a dark blue truck, that was actually second-hand he received from his foster care and was put up by himself as he learned mechanics from them. The painting and polish did a great job to pass as a new one, but the inside was still a turmoil. As they experienced it tonight.

The truck jerked a few time before stopping in the middle of the road, to Theo's utter frustration. He took a long breath before apologizing dejectly.

"I'm sorry, and you were driving superbly."

"No, it's OK..." And she wanted to add that he didn't have to overdo about what he thought about her driving, because she's pretty sure she wasn't that good.

"I'm going to check what's wrong, just... bear with me, I try to make it quick."

    "It's nothing, don't worry."

But her voice was so low she doubted he heard her. So, she was waiting for his return while he was fixing under the hood, sometime playing with the dashboard and the radio, when something caught her attention in the mirror.

Someone was walking on the road in their direction.

It could be someone that could help them, so she thought about warning Theo as he's busy on the front. She barely opened her mouth that the hood was violently pulled down. It wasn't Theo's doing however. The hands on the hood wore black threatening gloves and they were reclined while the owner of the car was still under it, thus Theo's groan.

    "Oh, my god, Theo!"

She fumbled blindly the handle but she was too shocked to actually reach it. When she actually turned to find it her gaze met a masked person behind the window. A scream escaped her mouth and she recoiled in the driver seat to put more space between them. Even further when the person was forcing the door on the other side, she called her friend's name to see where and how he was as she felt in danger.

A shock in the front of the car stopped the progess of the threatening person and next she knew, it went flying several meters away from the truck. Once sure that nothing will attack her if she open the door, she get out of the cab and checked on her friend.

There was another person there, helping Theo standing up. As she didn't have a mask nor wearing anything threatening, Tracy didn't fear her.

"Tara?" And Theo seemed to know her.

Or maybe he got a concussion after being hit by the hood of his own car.

"We should take you to the hospital, think you can drive us here?" The woman asked her.

Tracy trembled, didn't think she could do it, but straightened herself after glancing at the boy's curled in and agonizing frame.

    "What about the car...?"

"I think he fixed it before he got attacked. Or maybe you want me to drive?"

Tracy shook her head and helped the woman, effectively named Tara, get Theo inside the car, she then sit on the driver's seat and drove them to the hospital while Tara was keeping Theo's awake in the back.

Nurse McCall frowned when seeing them, she and Theo (and mostly her helping Theo getting there, again), before checking on the injured patient. After a while, Tracy thought about warning Hayden that Theo probably wouldn't make tonight's shift, saying shortly they were attacked by some rogues. When she lifted her head to talk to the woman, she was already talking with the nurse on the front desk and filling all Theo's informations. But she stood stunned when they said they had a contact for the emergency call and if whether they should call it.

"We should call him, Deucalion is Theo's guardian," she said.

The woman glanced at her before agreeing. They waited in the waiting area for the time the doctor checked on Theo's state.

"What happened?" The man responsible of Theo asked them.

Tara stared at the old man before looking at Tracy who remained silent.

"Theo and Tracy here were attacked by two people wearing mask. They hit Theo on the head with his car hood and wanted to take the kids with them, I think, but I intervened before they could and got rid of them to take the children here. Though, the criminals get out."

Deucalion nodded and barely blinked during all at her explanation.

"I guess we coudn't ask too much, hopefully Theo wasn't wounded too badly. But this attack is worrisome."

"Indeed, we better deposite in case it occur again."

"That would have to wait for Theo, what he needed now would be rest and some supervision for the next 24 hours, and not physical exercices," Nurse Melissa McCall told them whie exiting the patient's room.

"Is he conscious?" Deucalion asked her.

"He is, and aware of what happened to him but still got headache which hold attention, you can check on him."

He did, but the women stayed behind. Tracy turned to Tara and wanted to deposite the events now so they could prevent potential attack, but the young female was asking the nurse to pay the bills of the consultation. It surprised her even if she got the picture that she knew Theo somehow.

Tara accepted to go deposite the attack with her as they both saw the assailants and were still in piece. However, there was another complaint of aggression in the station and Tracy knew the victim.

"What it is for?" The deputy on front desk asked them.

And Tracy returned her attention to him, deputy Strauss, when Tara told him that they need to deposit an assault. The deputy raised his brow but lead them to his colleague's desk. Deputy Clark, Hayden's sister, took their deposition. She frowned at the end of their story.

"You said they were wearing mask?"

When the girls agreed, deputy Clark showed them a picture of the masked person.

"Exactly, where did you take this picture?" Tracy gasped.

"Another victim testified to be stalked by this person last night, this picture was taken through their peephole. It was the only picture but they said they were numerous."

"Probably three," Tara said after examining the picture closely. "Even if it looked alike it wasn't actually one of the aggressors. The mask isn't the same, those who attacked the kids got tube as if they were using it to breath."

Tracy watched the picture a second time. Sure the mask and the ensemble of the picture reminded her of the threatening person that scared her on the other side of the truck window, but they did have difference. The one that wanted to force the door had a gas helmet with pipes while this one just had a hockey mask.

She stood up to leave because her witness role stopped there.

    "Tracy?" Malia called her.

"Are you OK?" Josh asked her.

"Actually, no. Theo and I were agressed just now by some masked people, and Theo got a concussion."

"You too?" Josh gaped. "Is Theo OK?"

"He had to rest for a day, but I doubted he could give his version of the attack, so here I am, hoping to prevent other attack."

"Well, no use it seemed, as we got target too," Malia grunted. "Was he like six foot five and using a metal bar?"

Tracy noticed with horror how her arm was bandaged while Josh was helping her walk.

"No... I think they were two, one hit Theo on the head with the car hood and the other tried to attack me by forcing the door while I was inside."

Malia took a thoughtful look. "So, they're really three. I wonder why they chose to part and assaulted two targets tonight. Corey said the three  of them sneaked around his house last night."

    "Corey was targeted too?"

"Yeah, Parrish showed us the picture his brother took from the peephole and send it to him while he was outside," the other girl said while designating the deputy they were giving testimony.

    "So he wasn't actually attacked?"

"He was targeted, but when they realized he wasn't at home, so they didn't attack the Bryant," Josh guessed hazardly.

"So which one of you were actually targeted? Malia, did you actually fight them?"

"What do you think I'm limping for? But I think they were aiming Josh, they stopped fighting when pretty one got inside of the club and when the police and ambulance showed up."

"That's disturbing and worrying, maybe we shouldn't get home unsupervised."

"Yeah, Parrish said he will drive us home, think he could do the same for you too."

Tracy forgot about Tara till next evening.

Their group of friend learned that Hayden was also attacked after her shift. Fortunately, she was recued by her boss, Laura Hale, and nothing bad happened. But as the dinner's back door for the service employee got footage, Malia's cousin got her a duplicata so she could report it. Her sister Valerie Clark got her a summary of all the attack that occured last night and everyone was at Theo's little attention, who couldn't attend none of the football training, neither could Malia as she was disabled by her limping feet and injured arm.

"Three attacks in one night, that's scary. Shouldn't a curfew being put?" Erica frowned.

"Notice a pattern? Most of the target were football player," Nolan said pointed at Corey, Josh and Theo.

"No, it doesn't match," Theo argued. "The night when the freaks sneaked and give up on the Bryant, a sophomore was abducted. Stiles told me the station got a call of a missing child, Noah Patrick."

"He was in my chemistry class," Kylia said.

"So, they just attacked random students?" Jiang groaned.

"Maybe just Beacon Hills residents. They attacked at night and everyone could be aimed," Gabe pointed out.

"But the victims were all high schoolers," Josh said.

"Anyway, I had to do my deposition tonight, even if it would be useless as I didn't see anything," Theo growled.

    "You will need supervision."

    "I do."

It was Tara. And she was actually Theo's older sister that he didn't see for two years. Tracy accompany him for the deposition as she was with him during the attack. It was an excuse to know more about Theo's past that he didn't like to talk about.

"I know it's been two years, but last I heard, they said you were in school."

"It had to take you your last year of formation and half a year later to notice I vanished from your life. I guess I shouldn't be too upset, you never seemed to appreciate me being in your life."

"Don't be like that, I used the half year to look for you and you were good at cleaning after you, it was a chance that I find you when you're about the be attacked."

During the testimony, Theo's friend, Stiles intervened and said that Theo might be the one the aggressor were trying to reach. He showed him the logo of Ouroboros that Theo did seem to know according his gasp and Stiles, the sheriff's son, said that he had a source sure that said Theo knew more about how to use a computer. And the aggressors, the Dread Doctors, were known in the net to have trafficking human organs and their whole business fell after someone hack their pc and uncovered all their crime. Theo was the one who hacked them under someone's ask that paid him to.

When Deucalion learned it so he could also supervise Theo, he was disappointed that the kid got into his old habbits. But Theo swore it was before he stopped hacking. And they could stop the criminals doctors once they tracked down the customer who paid him to ruin them, because the doctors were now causing havoc by aiming genetic chimera who got more than one human organ inside them.

By the end of the night, Tracy learned that she could be a potential target again and that Theo was emancipated because his last family neglected him and that he subconsequently became a hacker to provide himself. Except, he get caught by Deucalion who then took under his care in condition he stopped his faulty act.

It took two days before they arrested the dread doctors and the perpetrator of this whole havoc, Gabriel Valack, a patient of Eichen House. Tracy was't surprised that someone of mental illness institute would be arrested. But Theo got another surprise from his sister, she wasn't in town just because she wanted to find him but because she was investigating about this case, as F.B.I agent. With the solved case, she would got a raise, but she earned Theo's hurt and he was even more upset to learn she will get out. Hopefully her raise would be enough for her to treat him.

In any case, after this affair, Theo became more open with the group and actually called them friends, which was something as he first stated that he only go along with them because he funded (and forced them to play) the football team and was embarrassed to call guys younger than him friends and making him friends of girls. He even told them about his hacker past (and that stay in the past so no one asked him about doing some favor, he won't).

Tracy got her driver lisence the day of her birthday and Theo happened to want to make up with their ruined session, but he never would have thought that's exatcly because of this lesson that she got her lisence.

    Stiles' name wasn't Stiles Stilinski.

The nickname wasn't even his creation, it was his paternal gramps who went by this title after some time in the army, his dad said he was abusive but he was gifted intelectually and Stiles had to admit that the nickname was better than his actual name.

It was his mother that chose it, it was a heirloom from all the boy in Polish family with great meaning but Stiles wasn't sure he deserved to keep the name as his mother didn't even recognize him.

Claudia Stilinski had the fronto-temporal dementia for nine years now and it was eating on his dad. At best, she wouldn't recognize him, at worst she will accused him of attempting her life. His father, the Beacon County's sheriff, was tired of seeing her so scared of the boy she gave birth but couldn't do anything as workind and making the end for him and his son and paying the hospital fee. He nearly drowned himself in alcohol before Stiles made him get up and live again as luckily Claudia Stilinsi wasn't dead.

And it may hurt him to be rejected by his own mother but he will live and help his dad as much as he could.

So he was hesitating about his future, being deputy and help him out by working beside him or a private investigator as his character was much suit of investigating personally (not much of a people person, the Stiles). And he did his proof during the dread doctor case, even his dad had to admit it.

After meeting Tara Raeken eight years after the Raekens moving out of town (and Stiles felt some sympathy for Theo who wasn't recognized as son by both his parents and neglected by his sister, his own relative that Stiles could compared to his dad), he was also attracted of being F.B.I agent. But then, he learned from Tara that her closest Federal station in California was in Los Angeles, but the post of San Francisco was better filled and that if he wanted to have a special oppotunity he better gain an invitation from the station of Qantico for a formation. And knowing that Scott's dad (a former drunken and abusive man), Stiles thought agaisnt being F.B.I agent and set for P.I as he could work by himself and be close to his father.

He got goods grades, he could make it.

(He didn't think about girls, because his first and huge crush for Lydia didn't bring anything but their snarky friendship and his first time was with  out curiosity with his childhood friend Heather, that he get to know by their mother's friendship and his second time was as disastrous with Malia Hale because he was working on her nerves and she shut him up by kissing him. One thing leading to another, they did it and it was her first time. Anyway, the girl seemed to hook-up with the guys that annoyed her at some point like Nathan Pierce, though, he had a doubt with Josh Diaz. Maybe it was nothing as they say they aren't fucking and neither in relationship, but whatever it wasn't his problem, he had a college application to fill.)

    Part 4

  • First Quarter : September to December 2012

Hayden Romero waited before the principal's office.

There was another person with her, probably another transfer student. If she was honest with herself, he was handsome and well built, but Hayden wasn't interest in relationship. She had enough to do with soccer and her work.

Working as Sinema's waitress was the worst job she could have taken, but it was for Val's sake. She can't let her sister work her ass off just to pay her fricking anti-rejection medications because her stupid body couldn't support someone else's kidney (and she only got one for starting). And Phil didn't even care if she was underage to let her serve drinks, but truly, the pay wasn't worth. The only thing that compensated was the boss was a moron to let the employee pick up their money freely (seriously? But she had to pay the drinks by her own money if they're gone waste, so...).

She started the job during summer vacation, when Val told her she was mutated to Beacon County Sheriff Department. So far, she made sure to be faultless, but it's about time she snapped (with all those drunk and high and even clumsy students coming during all-age night. And since, most student weren't financially burden like her, they spend all their moneys during those night, which made Phil heighten the events. Grr) and broke something in the club (and preferably on Phil's head. So he got a concussion and she could manipulate him and get a raise. So tempting.). Now, she will only work during week-end shift, starting friday night. All age, of course. Just to think about that, she's groaning.

    Which caught the boy's attention.

Fortunately, the principle received them at this moment. Together. Even if they're not in the same level.

After a short speech about welcoming them and giving them their timetable and the course (standard and AP) they could pick, the man noticed the guy, Theo, chose all the APs. Which was really surprising, even considering his former grades, but the boy stood his grounds and the principal let it go but made him meet the guidance councelor, being in senior year.

Once they're done, the guy noticed that he didn't even know where to find the councelor's office, but the principal was already closing his door on them, letting him deal by himself. Hayden couldn't help but feel sympathetic. It's like he didn't have any social clue, she first thought he was homeschooled which would explain some things but then she remembered the principal said he got great marks from a former school, which totally made him a transfer student. Anyway, she wasn't the noisy kind of girl, so she just help him find the guidance's office.

"I think, I saw her office in the way here, want me to lead you?"

    "That would be great, thanks."

They made the ride to the office and parted way after that. Hayden didn't think much about it, the school is big and the students were numerous, but a pretty boy (as serious and seemingly shy) wasn't something she could meet everyday.

Not like Dumbar that she had the unfortune to share the history class with. Oh, they do have some history together. Even four years after their last exchange, the guy didn't change that much. Still that infuriating and stuck with his black best friend.

(That was uncalled for, she's herself a minority.)

To think she had a ruined yearbook in sixth grade because of the guy's anger issue. Even the punch she threw at him in result wasn't enough.

"Hey! I'm Kylie Tate, we share the same history class!" Her locker neighbor greeted her during break.

Hayden couldn't replace her face even if she try really hard. She didn't realy have memories of face, especially classmate that she rarely talk. Liam Dumbar and Mason Hewitt was an exception as the guy was her sworn enemy and his sidekick (sorry Mason, to put you in some low spot, but really she couldn't care less).

    "Right, I'm Hayden."

"I know, and you know Liam Dunbar too!"

"Oh, we were in the same grade school."

    Unfortunately.

    "Was he that cute?"

Hayden had to think about it because even now she didn't think he's cute. Anyway, Kylie was the kind of girl that like chatting, and they did share a lot of class together. Maybe she could make some friends.

She found the pretty boy at lunch. He was sitting alone in one table of the school cafeteria, which surprised her again. Like, she knew he was kind of asocial, but that nobody wanted to sit with an ephebe like him was unexpected. So, ignoring Kylie's direction, she walked to his table and sat in front of him.

Earning more than one surprise glance.

    "Hey," Theo greeted her.

"Didn't make any friend?" She chose to be blunt. She wasn't the shy one and neither will she took the glove with him.

He shrugged. "Didn't find anyone worthy."

And he did have some snark.

"Don't worry, we'll be worthy," Kylie said almost dreamy.

And Hayden almost jumped, she didn't expect her to follow her. But maybe an attractive boy was enough for the girl to follow her wherever.

"Yeah, you better, because the school didn't even have a football team. Like, from lost town to lost school in the middle of California, couldn't it have at least something american related?"

"I know, right. Being in the football team would totally made your image. I mean, you got great hair, perfect body, football M.V.P. You'd nailed it."

"Thank you?" Theo replied, throw off to be complimented.

Which made him even more attractive.

"But football didn't get that much attention, here. You could make into the lacrosse Cyclones, they're the winner team since decades now."

"No, playing with a stick wasn't in my option."

"Then in the basketball team? They were champions two decades ago. Or the swimming team?"

Hayden saw where Kylie was going with that but she decided to step in too.

    "Or soccer team."

"Nah, they're not that good. Boy or girl team," Kyia added when she noticed she pushed a string too far. "Maybe you could make a difference."

"Or you could create the football team with me by playing the kicker."

    "It's not the same."

    "Both involved kicking balls."

"One interested me more than the other. And guess what? It's not football."

Theo chuckled at her answer. "Your loss."

Kylia made a face that totally matched his comment.

"If you want to play football so much, you better build a team now, since you're a senior."

Being in a sport club was certainly bonus point to add on his college application.

Marin Morell was the school's guidance councelor for two years and half now.

She started working for Beacon Hills High School when she heard that Deucalion was having some unlawful business in the town. Being his informer (so to keep balance), she warned him to be careful dealing in Talia Hale's area. She would sentenced him, being his old friend of not (the town's attrorney did sentenced her own young brother when he was selling drugs to underage). Deucalion said he wouldn't involved children in his business (which was a small confort about his job) but then some of the students she was supervising got involved (Scott McCall and his gang of misfits) and her collegue, Jennifer Blake framed the dealers (targeting one who happened to be her ex) and things would have gone very bad if the students didn't plaid for the adults to Talia.

So, the deal of dealer ended and now, Deucalion was living honestly again being a banker of the town and his teammates being good citizens, but now he send another protégé to school.

Sure, the twins Aiden and Ethan went to school only because the group of teenagers plead for them and did graduate, but they didn't use it to go to college so neither Jennifer and Marin got why they insist to be normal students. This one was another story. Unlike the twins, Theo Raeken was still underage and he wasn't really really part of the gang of former dealer, he dropped out school at sixteen with great grades and did some unpleasant job in the middle but now he seemed to want to return to normal. And Jennifer like her, did want to believe that Deucalion kept his words and didn't return to his bad habbits, so they passed the word to the principal and gave the boy a chance to make it up.

Now, he was in her office, having to deal about all the AP he took and what where his future choices. Considering his marks from his former school, he could follow all the courses. Just to be sure, Marin made him take the SATs and suggested him to take a language course as he didn't get the occasion in sophomore.

"Since language course is chosen during junior year, that you didn't have, a bonus point is given to you as it would be your first year in foreign language. Which one will you chose?"

She slid pamphlets with different language the school proposed to teach (not much) and knowing he didn't even try to read any of them, she smiled when he said French.

"I will then see you in French class."

He made a face but nodded. Before he left her office, she let him know that if he wanted to be accepted in some college with fee waiver, he shouldn't count only on high SATs and GPA scores even if they're reay high, he had to have awards from international competitions, do community service or/and hold leadership roles.

The rest, Marin received other seniors but none were as ambitious as Theo Raeken.

Gabe followed distractly the French class.

Most of the student were trying to grasp some concept of the roman language but mostly, miss Morell was doing the class by her own.

He shot a look to Nolan, who was scribbling on his book. Somehow, he doubted it had something to do with French. The others guys of their unusual group (that Nolan picked up like stray cats) didn't share the class. Josh was in spanish, so he could have easy points being his native language, Jiang was hold a year behind because of something he did last year, and Lucas was drooling on his notebook in the back of the classroom (or not spiritualy in the latter's case).

This isn't miss Morell's fault (probably), but studying another language other than English was a pure waste of time, and Gabe, like most students, would use it to dream or do other class homeworks (if they want to grab point in other course).

Gabe wasn't that infatuated by academics, he wanted to enlist (to Nolan's disarray) after high school and he was only going to school because he's still underage and his parents wouldn't be happy with him dropping out.

Making friends in the process was totally not planned but if he could use them to spend the time, why not?

Though, he would like if Nolan wouldn't go and make friend with every lone person they came across. Like the guy with who they share French class (Gabe only knew that, because the guy was the only who follow, or try, the class).

"The seat aren't taken? Then, you don't mind if we sit here?"

Especialy if he's so untalented to make chats. The guy raised a brow at his behavior (asking a question and sitting without waiting for his answer) but otherwise just let them sit wordlessly.

"Are you like some Messiah that save lost people from their loneliness?"

    Well, this one's perceptive.

"Yes," Josh blurted before Nolan had the time to. "He is."

"The nerve, we had fun, together!"

"You forced me to go to summer school, I don't even care about school."

The newcomer frowned. "Why are you here, then?"

    "To have fun."

    "With us," Nolan insisted.

    "No."

"But you do," Jiang stepped in.

    "What kind of fun? Sport?"

"No, homeworks." The weird look made Nolan reconsiderated what kind of fun he had in his life to think his response could be thrilling. "Video game."

    "Sport?" The other insisted.

"I already got the R.O.T.C program," Gabe said.

    "I'm too busy being high."

"I had community service to do."

He shot a glance to Jiand's answer but turn to Gabe. "What's R.O.T.C?"

"The pre-military program, trained to be required of the necessery of enlist the Armed Force," Nolan explained him. "Nothing thrilling."

"But to enlist you need some physical condition. Want to join the football team to built up?"

"There is no football team in Beacon Hills." And Gabe knew that having school there for two years.

"We just have to make one."

"You need at least twenty-two people so there would be both an offensive and defensive team," Jiang pointed out.

"Well, I already got half of the offensive team covered, we could enroll random athletes from other team who used to be benchwarmer."

"I never said I was in."

"But we are! We could have fun," Nolan agreed easily.

"Not just fun, we had to reach international level and win awards."

    "Who cares?"

"I do. If you want to befriend me, you had to enroll in the football team."

This was ridiculous, Gabe didn't sign up for that.

A plate clattered on their table and two girls forced their presence between them. One of them, a latina girl, even pushed Nolan to move his place so she could sit in front of Theo, the other just took a chair from another table and put it on the side.

"New friends, Theo?" The latina asked without even aknowledged the rest of them.

And Gabe just noticed he didn't even know the guy's name until then.

    "My football teammates."

He was so sure they will make it.

"That's great!" The other girl chimed up happily and they both seemed younger than them all. "Now, you just have to ask a teacher to coach the team!"

Theo went silent while he was thinking about it. Josh and Jiang were brooding because like him, they got a bad feeling about this Theo guy. Who looked at him insistantly.

"You said something about the R.O.T.C program?"

The whole thing was amusing Nolan so much and Gabe wanted to hit him for being so cute while he's so unpleased.

    Jackson Whittemore was fuming.

He heard from Isaac that a football team was being created. Ha, the joke! He thought.

But then the rumor was spreading and everyone got only this new football team coming from nowhere on their mouth. What's so special with football?

Beacon Hills always swore by lacrosse as they're the unbeatable team! Well, since he was here. Because before that, the lacrosse was an average team, and even before that, it was basketball, but there wasn't any football team.

And worst than a rumor without foundation, there's a newbie in the swimming team that got Allison's attention more than necessary.

Like, he could bear that she's dating McCall (even if he still didn't get it, like he's f*cking a benchwarmer while he's first line!), but during swim practice, her attention was turned to him (and his fabulous body). Now, the newbie, Theo Raeken, was the rising star and Beacon Hills Cyclones swimming team got more chance to win.

Ridiculous! The team always won thanks to him!

(Like his parents -adoptives parents!-, the teachers and Allison knew!)

He was still steaming rage about Raeken when Lydia's voice brought him back to present. He didn't even notice she was eating with him and not with the losers.

"You're talking about Theo Raeken? I shared all the AP sciences with him."

Considering that Lydia took the Bio, Physics and Chem and Math, the guy must have some scientific mind.

    "Ever thought about screwing him?"

His ex had a thoughtful look and Jackson just noticed that Isaac was also waiting for her answer. He snickered, which earned him a look from Danny, because Lahey junior was so whipped about her even though he knew their deal wouldn't last. Lydia's only setting with him because his bike was entertaining her, but when she would be tired of his two wheels, she would take her car back and leave him.

"He does have a perfect body like Allison said, but he didn't seem interested."

That picked up Danny's interested, making Matt scoff, while Jackson rolled at her compliments (rare).

"I heard he's proposing tutoring, if you want to talk to him," Matt informed Danny.

His best gay smiled sweetly at the amateur of photograph.

"Even though, you don't need tutoring for any subject," Lydia rolled her eyes.

She may be a teen genius, Danny was certainly as smart as her and didn't need any tutoring, unless it's about anatomy.

"Well, I heard something too. He's the one creating the football team, and he asked my brother to coach them."

Daelher lost some of his good mood hearing the mention of Camden Lahey. The man was the cause of his near death experience when he let the 8 years old Matt almost drown during a winning party. But upon his return from the army and being the school R.O.T.C. program teacher, Matt learned that wasn't the right Lahey to have vengeful feelings but the senior one, who deserved all the hate. And Jackson knew for living across their house. Still, the young teacher had his part in the story (for being drunk at this moment) and Matt hold some grudge.

"How did he find all the players? No one even know about a football team in Beacon Hills."

"Seems he had relations," Lydia shrugged.

Jackson made sure to put this new guy on his blacklist and ruined his life.

School life only, he didn't have the time to investigate his actual life.

Josh Diaz was chilling in the club.

It wasn't the first time and surely not the last. It's not like he liked ruining his life by being high on week basis, but the feeling of being high is so cool.

Like he just had to sniff some fairy dust and his mind will start to wander in some magical universe. He's always the fantasy one. His parents thought that telling him that Santa didn't exist at seven was a good idea, it just made him want to prove them Santa's real everytime he got the chance to see him during those time. Or tooth fairy, or even the sandman. He knew they exist, it's just the life his parents got him into can't let them live, so he will join them by being high.

And if it meant being in crowd of dancing people, so be it.

"I wouldn't believe Nolan when he said you were working here as you're not even in age to, but since Josh was going high and not even advised to, I guess I should give the guy some credits."

Josh sighed at this recognizable voice that came to irritate him whenever he heard it. Theo Raeken and the self-proclaimed captain of the football team and the guy who forced him to play this barbaric sport. Like, how could him, a peaceful stoner, even play a game as ruthless as american football?

Well, when you're surrounded by noisy (and bossy) people, that's how.

He shot an annoyed look to the duo talking beside him. Theo just send him an amused look while Hayden rolled her eyes at his antics. Yeah, that wasn't the first time he got into argument with this enano.

"Why do you care?" Hayden asked Theo, grumpy to be found out.

She should have suspected it back when she first eat with them. Josh may not care what she did in her life (like he didn't want peope to care about his business), Nolan was the kind of untenable person that could not keep his mouth to himself. And from the moment he nearly knotted her out during her shift, Hayden shouldn't even go near him at school. So, no wonder he talked to Theo about her job, as he seemed to like him really much.

"Well, I feel sympathy with you. I guess I understand why you're working but I strongly advice against working here."

    "Too late."

Josh imagined her making a move to the place and her outfit to make her point, the picture was so funny he snorted in his high state. The silence following let him guess the two looked at him before returning to their conversation.

"Look, I'm pretty sure the pay wasn't even worth. I know a place where the boss is really reasonable about student's pay. Just give it a shot."

"Do you like me so much you have to go so far as finding me a conceivable job?"

"I do like you and don't want you to regret your decision of working here just because you thought only that kind of job could give you pay as underage."

Well, he wasn't expecting a love confession. He sneaked them a glimpse and Hayden was just noddind softly at Theo. He's kind of disappointed, not even a moving hug?

"And you, don't go wasted as I need you in good state by monday."

"Yeah, yeah," he shrugged off the hand on his shoulder.

A scoff reponded his behavior and he chanced another look to see Theo staying next to him.

"Don't you have better thing to do? Like training for football? You had to be in shape if you targeting international."

Which was kind of ambitious as the team was just created.

"Well, I need others players so we could be in shape."

    And the rogue was serious.

"And you're expecting to find other players, here?"

    "Aren't you here?"

He was forced. But glancing in the room, his eyes caught a couple making out in the corner and a grinned splited his ecstactic face.

If he was forced into this situation, others had too, right? Why not Lucas who chose to drop them for his boyfriend.

    Danny Mahealani sighed contentedly.

Matt shot him a questionning look before following his gaze, then grinned broadly when recognizing Theo Raeken. Jackson, who followed the exchange too, matched his own evil smile, meaning smirk.

"So, you got your deal with him?"

Even though his best friend sort of disliked the guy (feeling threatened), Jackson was actually realy supporting about his relationship. That usually didn't end well as he came across a lot of douche.

(Kind of expecting when he found them in club. And Jungle was the first gay club he knew and used to go, maybe he could try Sinema, but LGBT friendly didn't mean there were a lot of them. He kind of regret breaking up with Ethan, the guy was major, but they had good time together.)

    "Nah, he wasn't interested."

Isaac frowned at this answer. If he wasn't interested in Lydia (who's really hot) and not in Danny (who had a chiseled built), then the guy was asexual.

"I see, so he likes to be desired," Jackson muttered.

And it did make sense. Jackson was envied and wanted by both genders, that he may of may let them touch him, but Theo was as well lusted by BHHS students population and the guy may jerk off on that fact.

"Then, why are you so dreamy?" Matt knitted his brows.

Like, Danny got that the boy was only interested in Allison Argent, she's really attractive and very taken, but can't he get that a pretty someone will stay that way whatever his sexuality and relationship situation? He had the right to be dreamy when he's admiring a raw beauty.

But as he was going to say something, he caught what their own group was saying.

Nathan Pierce, their lacrosse teammate, was flirting with his last conquest. More like hook-up as Malia Hale didn't do relationship (and Danny still can't believe that a beautiful girl like her slept with Stiles, not that the boy was unattractive but he's just unbearable to go along, but as she also slept with a prick like Nathan, she's probably only releasing stress with annoying douche). They were discussing (or more like Nathan was catching Malia's attention) on the side, and Theo's teammate noticed it and commented about Malia's choice of guy (like Danny was and he cursed himself to be that noisy) and how hot she is to fall that low with someone like Pierce.

"Thirsty much? She's not some piece of food you can drool over, have some respect."

His interlocutor, a pale and freckled face boy, flushed and squeak an apology. Theo sighed at his harsh tone.

"It's just, I had a sister and I wouldn't like people talking about her like that."

One of his friend agreed. "I feel you. I had a little sister too, and I would ruined those who even think about at calling her."

    "You had a sister, Gabe?"

    "Yeah, she had Down Syndrom."

Danny returned back to his friends who were following the conversation too and he finally answered Matt's question.

    "Because he's like that."

But to be fair, he was so glad knowing Theo because after their tutoring he learned that they shared an interest with computer and how to be good at it.

Something his parents didn't know (or at least, not how good he was with).

Vernon Boyd let out a breath during the short break coach Lahey allowed them.

He didn't know that football practice was so drainful. Since Beacon Hills didn't even have a football team, he thought the sport was kind of not popular, guess he should have done some research before applying it.

And to be honest, it's not like he had much choice. He chose to be in the team because his friend and R.O.T.C partner Kyle said it could a great physical training too. But then, coach Lahey said that all of R.O.T.C program could be in the football team too, as he didn't want them to slack off and he could combining the two program together.

So now, they were in football practice everyday after school and got another session of pre-military for those who need to be trained for the program.

The football team may have extended its players, it didn't mean the level was there.

Like, Theo Raeken was good, of course, as he was the captain and the creator of the team, but his friends? Not so much. Maybe Nolan Holloway got a great shot, knowing where to aim the ball but he wasn't quick enough. Josh Diaz? The boy was just there to fill the rank, he was barely present when the ball is thrown at him. Or Corey Bryant, being the running back need to be fast, but the boy didn't even thought about protecting the ball.

The rest, except for Gabe, Jiang and Lucas who were trying their best, thinking that being the football team would let them to some glory, but well, at this rate and with the current teammate? Nothing's sure.

    Others showed up to apply.

Like Scott McCall. Boyd didn't want to be unfair, but he knew the guy since sophomore being the country cross team together and he had severe asthma which forced him to be benched on the lacrosse team. And if he couldn't play lacrosse, what were the odds he could play american football, a sport more violent than the former?

None, he was rejected by the coach while the team needed all the players disposables. However, even a disable player would be problematic.

Now, that he's looking clearly, Scott McCall didn't seem to actually want to enroll in the team as he stayed on the field after being tackled by Theo (and Theo didn't even play as linemen). After a while, he stood up, helped by the star player and joined the bench where his friends where waiting for him.

Argent, his girlfriend smiled at him before pointing Theo and Scott nodded with a lopside smile. Yeah, somehow, he doubted the guy was here to apply in the team.

Another student applied and Boyd thought they were testing Raeken more than the sport, when the team recognized Malia Hale. But the girl was serious and even said she could play at any post. When Theo Raeken tackled her by taking her seriously like she asked, he was surprised by the girl's strentgh. Hale was agile and fast and could received the ball and even throw it like she was made for the sport. No one even questioned her place in the team.

And thanks god because the first game was soon.

Boyd was excited to tell his sister and hoped she could make it at his game. He knew she's working herself up so she could made the end for the two of them, he even worked on his own but it was only part-time and he just wanted her to be OK.

Allison was at her father's archery stand when a group of teenager entered in the shop. She knew them for having let her boyfriend drool on one of them. It was Theo Raeken and his football team.

They were seven, an odd number which wasn't important as shooting range was an individual thing. They introduced themselves and the group part in two ways, as one subgroup wanted to go the gun shooting range while the others wanted for th crossbow. Allison noted that none got interested in archery. Their loss.

Actually only Malia and Josh went for the gun, and the guy was mostly pulled by the girl.

"Come on, pretty one, you had to see how well I shoot."

"I know you're really good, just stop pulling on my shirt."

The five others (including Theo) chose the crossbow, without missing the occasion to mock their friend, whipped by the girl. Which wasn't that surprisind to Allison, Malia did make into the football team along them, so she's pretty tough (and just pretty).

"Yeah, no, can't you believe Josh stopped going high for her?"

    "That's love."

The others all answered with a sneer.

So, actually none of them knew how to shoot with a crossbow but Nolan's the one who wanted to try it, making the asian boy, Jiang, mocking him. Gabe hushed him telling him to not talk before seeing the boy in action which amused Theo and Kylie, the only other girl.

And boy, Nolan knew his job. After knowing how to use the tool, every shoot reached the center and even her dad was impressed. Jiang whistled, making the freckled boy blush.

"His dad in the army, he knew some stuff about shooting," Gabe explained.

"Why are you the one explaining it?" Theo chuckled.

Gabe shrugged because he did know a lot about Nolan, being the first friend he tag along whenever he wants. They all put before their own target to try shooting, all except Theo who didn't play.

"Ow, come on, Theo! You didn't hang out a lot with us, you could at least have fun when you do," Nolan whined.

That could be a little insensitive as Theo didn't roll in money, even with all the tutoring and his job as waiter in the Triskelion dinner. But Theo was like that, he accepted to hang out with them just to give a presence. Finally, Kylie let him her place as she couldn't bear the weight of the crossbow, especially when it shot.

Allison had to admit that with the way he's built, she wouldn't guess he got financial issue, but who was she to talk? Her boyfriend also got some money issue and he and his mother were also struggling with the bills to cover his asthma. It was one of the reason her mother didn't accept their relationship, because the McCall were broke (and Scott's disable).

But Allison didn't care, the Argent wasn't that wealthy (not as much as the Martins or the Whittemores), but the family did allow some expensive thing, with the father opening an archery stand and the mother her own shop of clothes. Sure, she never worked like some students but she wasn't the kind to spend a lot of money for nothing. For one, she wasn't the fashionista of her group friend (unlike Lydia).

Plus, Allison didn't judge people on their financial statue. And she, like Scott, wouldn't mind having Theo for one night.

He, along Kira, were the only people the couple could agree on sexualy.

They didn't talk a lot about threesome, but spicy things in their relationship was a frequent subject. Theo just didn't seem that interested and Kira wasn't in town.

But she will be, it just a matter of weeks.

Alan Deaton was the vetenarian of Beacon Hills.

He's not that known, since only pet owner would know his name and what he can do. But he does know people.

He knew his assistant vet, Scott who worked for him for two years, now. He knew how conscious and studious the boy was. And that he wanted to be like him.

He knew the Hales, this ancient family who was part of the founders of the town. He knew its actual leader, Talia Hale, and all the children she raised, which Malia was part of.

He knew Deucalion, this once visionary man who avert the path but got on the right way again. He knew he's now a banker and lives with his team that followed him on the wrong path. He knew the man sort of adopted a teenager, Theo Raeken.

And he knew that the three of them go in Beacon Hills High School together but he didn't know if they know each other or have even exchanged a word till tonight.

When another student of their school barged in the clinic, worried about her dog's health after he ate some chemical product in the house or what it seemed.

Scott was ready to close the clinic while Deaton was in his office dealing with Theo who came at Deucalion's demand. The assistant (future tech vet) calmed the owner first before telling her what he will do, under the actual vetenarian's instruction of course. The girl, Erica, was calmed when someone barged into the clinic and asked casually.

    "So, he's dead?"

"That's not funny!" Erica screeched at Malia who did find her panicky state amusing.

Deaton knew Erica Reyes as she's a recent owner of a Terrier so it could help her epilepsia. He also knew that she's student of BHHS. But that's all he knew and he would gladly let the young ones discover whatever the future gave them.

    Deucalion logged to his blog.

He may work as banker at the First National Bank of Beacon Hills, he still had hobbies on his free time. In case, having a quote blog created by himself. He didn't get paid but it'd be a pleasure if he would one day.

Sometime, others literaries would visit his blog and he could have intellectual conversation that he didn't have much with his flatmates.

This time, he was flooded by spam. A lot of ads about narcotics and others illicit products kept submerging his page. Some hacker got a job to ruin his passion. And Deucalion, as knowledgeable man, decided to find the perpetrator and made him regret his life decision.

Time to reintroduce his team to their old habbits.

Ennis received a call during his work. He stopped the hoist he was operating and grinned evilly after hearing what the speaker had to tell him. He cracked his knuckles and his neck then leaves the cab to do a more enjoyable job.

Kali received a text during her shift as barmaid. There weren't many customers so she checked who and what was it, when her grin evolved to something fearful to whoever was watching her. Time to call her assistant Alicia to resume her job, she had more important thing to do as manager of her own business.

Aiden and Ethan were working on some car when their phone chimed. Ethan stood up when recognizing Deucalion's ring, and because Aiden didn't want to stop tinkering with the bike he was on, then burst in laugh. Aiden will quickly find something more interesting than the bike.

Deucalion spread the word. They will return to their old habbit as criminals.

Nolan Holloway rolled his eyes at his dad's loud entrance.

His mom said to not mind him as he just quit the bar of the town and the barmaid scared the shit out of him (her words). His dad denied it, saying that as military man, he didn't fear anything. His wife made sure to make him scare of women for the rest of his life. And that is why Nolan didn't have any gilfriend, now at sixteen and entering in junior.

And it was absolutly not because he's awkward or his odd behavior or even because his constant moving thanks to his dad military job.

"Seriously, dad, when you said we're going to live in California, I was thinking Los Angeles and his hollywood studios and stars, not some lost town in the middle of nowhere!"

"You change your tone young man! Beacon Hills isn't in the middle of nowhere, there are 30,000 citizens, within the Beacon County of 500,000 citizens! And we're next to the Camp Oak Creek, a WWII military base and-"

"Who's abandoned," her mother added minfully.

"-And the Fort Jewett, used by the U.S army corp-"

"That you're not in." his mother once again supplied.

"And the Beacon Hills high school got the R.O.T.C program!" His father ended after sending a reproachful look to his partner.

His mother just smiled brightly at him and Nolan rolled his yes again at their antics.

"Like I will follow your step."

"Then, use this summer break to go to their summer school! Your grade aren't the best if you don't plan to enlist!"

    "Yeah, sure..."

Although, he was an odd one.

Especially when he didn't had the will to fight against his father even if he could totally dismiss him in conversation, or that he really didn't have the force to fight an idea if it meant making new friends. The thing was, he wasn't able to make friend.

"Hey, I'm Nolan," he introduced himself to the guy sat next to him in algebra class.

It was summer school, so most of the students were mixed whatever their age as they were sorted in academics level. And Nolan kind of suck in algebra, but the guy beside him would probably won't follow the same class back to school, they probably wouldn't even cross path. It was a bad idea to befriend him. Nolan thought that the guy got a loner aura and as birds of a feather flock together, they could bond over that.

    "...Gabe."

Oh, maybe the guy was as alone as him.

Then, Gabe stood and made a move to leave the room as they were the only one here. At least, Nolan was smart enough to make a move at the end of the class to minimize the humiliation is he ever failed.

Both guys shared the same table at lunch and Nolan was glad to learn that Gabe was the same age than him and according to the course they had, they will share some class at fall.

After that, Nolan just started picking up stray kids to put in his group. The first of them, Lucas, introduced them a club, Sinema, where he started (shyly) hooking up with a guy, that also went to Beacon Hills High School, Corey. Nolan befriended a stoner, Josh, who's schooled to BHHS too. And Gabe nearly hooked up with the regular dancer, Brett, who did not go to BHHS, but enrolled at the private school not even in Beacon Hills, Devenford Prep. Nolan kind of want to explore his sexuality with him, but he quicly flew the place when he nearly knocked the waitress in shift and her plate of drinks, she was about their age and almost tore off his head when the drinks swelled more than normaly. Gabe joined him fast enough that Nolan felt a little guilty to have break his moment.

"No, he was kind of a smug bastard, anyway."

    Still, a sexy body's a sexy one.

Thanks to this night, he got Josh's contact and forced the guy to enroll summer school too. And if Lucas' absent the following day, Nolan found his old friend Jiang. Who would have know that his childhood friend of (surprise!) Beacon County go to BHHS?

(Probably his dad, or he wouldn't have choose Beacon Hills in the first place.)

Scott McCall left his house to drive to the Beacon High on his motorbike.

Usually, Stiles would pick him up for the summer school, but his best friend couldn't make it today, so Scott will go by himself. Not that he's complaining, he liked riding his bike, especially if it could be a good reason to take his girlfriend.

Sure, mr and mrs Argent would probably frown at his idea of romantic, but he only got this way and Allison wasn't some cheesy girl that fear of riding bike. Actually, she's tougher than he could ever be.

Lydia and Harley were already waiting for them on the school ground, both sort of chatting and bickering. Something only snarky girls (and Stiles) knew about.

    "Where's Stiles?" Harley huffed.

Lydia rolled her eyes, something that she kept from her mean girl time but lost some harshness now she broke up with Jackson and was friend with Allison's friends (a.k.a her boyfriend Scott and his friends Stiles and Harley).

"He won't come today, he had to visit his mother."

Harley's mood changed as she nodded, like remembering something. But then, the mood changed again when Isaac came from behind the ginger girl and kissed her promptly.

"Hi, Martin, didn't think about greeting me?"

"Keep down, Lahey. You just had to use your foot and come find me."

Isaac retorted something sassy that Scott didn't hear. What he meant about something only snarky people could get.

Isaac wasn't always like that, or maybe he was but Scott didn't know as he always saw him as a calm lacrosse teammate. He changed his behavior about last year, when he showed up one day at school with a brand new bike and started hitting on Lydia, who had broken up with Jackson then and was sort of flirting with Stiles.

At first, because of bro code, Scott was rooting for his best friend since Stiles did have his chance with Lydia, but then, after several dates, the two remained friends and Lydia started hooking-up with Isaac, who kind of became part of their clique.

Even if most of the time, to avoid any feud, he would eat with others lacrosse player at lunch. Like, Jackson, Danny and Matt, his friend.

(But now, in summer school, without the players, Isaac would sit with them. Even when Stiles' here.)

Scott didn't have the best opinion on them, because not only they played in first line, Jackson and Matt both showed interest to Allison. He nearly lost her to the first one when they temporaly break-up (and OK, he may have kissed Lydia during this laps of time, where Stiles was mad at him, but he was just heartbroken) but thanks god, this is all in the past.

Well, hopefully. He didn't want a newcomer to wreck his couple while he's studying to enter UC Davis to become tech vet.

(Unless he could turn him gay and made him OK with a threesome.... )

Malia Hale sighed when her cousin and sister Cora started mumbling about the class.

I mean, like, she would understand if Cora was muttering about her course during school period, but it's still summer, and school wouldn't start in another month (half a month, would her mother Talia remind her), so she didn't see the point of panicking now.

"Malia, you do know that with your grades you should be in summer school?" Cora took a break to taunt her sister.

She only got a hiss as answer, which made her laugh heartedly.

"Come on, you wild one. At least help me gather my stuffs. I can't believe I'm going to move out and I'm still not ready."

"Didn't college start late september? Why are you so stressed?"

"I just told you, I'm moving out! I rather have all my stuffs ready in the dormitory than took an apartment and had to work and pay a rent that I could not afford."

"Don't be silly, girl. I will help you pay the rent," Talia hummed.

"That's what I want to avoid, mom," her last one groaned.

"If I live alone, I want to work and pay the rent by my own."

"If? You're so sure mom would let you live in the house till you're thirty, baby girl," Laura mocked her.

"Look who's talking. Aren't you 28 and still single and living in the house?"

    "Watch your mouth!"

"Ladies," Talia called them out. "Well, Cora, you could room with your brother and his girlfriend, they're family."

"Sure, mom, I will live with Paige while I'll see her during world history class and it wouldn't be awkward especially when Derek would be there."

The sass. That's what it is to be the younger sibling.

Malia wasn't really part of them. Well, Talia actually raised her more than her father did, now he's in jail (that was seven years ago after he was caught seeling drugs, to Derek's girlfriend nonetheless! and Talia had to be the one that sue him because of how her son was broken. And between her baby boy and his corrupted brother, there wasn't long hesitation). But Malia was closer than Cora than Talia's other children (all adults), and now, she will be alone at school.

She should had set to be homeschooled inside of the Hale mansion, at least she wouldn't have worries like now. But beccause Cora wanted to go to college (and the community college of Beacon County), she had at least got some GPA so the girls enrolled to Beacon Hills high school last year. They didn't make any friends, as it wasn't their plan. But Malia befriended Kira Yukimura, a girl that didn't even go to this school, who was there because she was intending an history exposition the school set up.

Sure, Kira would come back this year too (for another history expostion, what kind of matter is this, anyway? To have a new yorker come in this lost town), but most of the time, Malia would be alone.

"What about you work for me for the rest of the summer? I just got new employee and he's about your age. You could make friends!"

"No offence, Laura, but the dinner you ran is the kind of place I would never step in by my own if I had a choice."

"Then, I don't give you choice and demand you to work for me!"

"Nu huh, you won't make me your waitress if I had a say."

    "Ungratful kid."

Knowing it was just a playful blow, Malia stuck her tongue to the young woman (not that young, actually) before going out.

If she won't make any friends at school, she could at least go to party on her spare time and enjoy herself. And Sinema sounded like a fun place.

The bar Alpha Pact was closed, but the light of the back of the building was on and inside were six people that wasn't reunited for a drink. Or, five of them could be while the sixth must undergo all the torture the others will give him.

Deucalion stood in front of the kid, because it couldn't be mistaken. Even though the boy was build like some athletic model and the twin could be passed as high schoolers (which they did last year so they could graduate with passable GPA), the hacker that ruined his blog was underage.

Because Deucalion did his own research.

    Theo Raeken.

The boy said he hacked whenever some people paid him to. So he wouldn't be arrested without bringing the perpetrator with him, but since he was able to not be caught, he never had to sell his debtors out. Well, that was until he accepted to hack Deucalion.

And Deucalion wasn't anybody, he got a dark past too. He wasn't always the gentleman anyone would say of him when they crossed his path. Six years ago he was known as the most manipulative man that could started a war thanks to his network. He worked with hackers too, hence he found quickly who's the reckless newbie and made Ennis retrieve him, using by force if need or let the twins torture him till he spoke in the back of Kali's bar.

But now, knowing he's still a child, Deucalion thought about using a more soft methods.

"You know, what you're doing is illegal and could sentence you to jail. And I know Beacon Hills' attorney, a really smart woman that will make sure to put you in the worst juvenile center, then give you an endless community services and some forfeit I doubted you could afford."

The last point landed. According to Ennis who found the boy in some motel room, the boy didn't have a lot of possessions and was only doing hacking (and cracking and all the cyberthing) to earn money. So, if Deucalion really sue him (using Talia Hale's services), he would lose everything he worked for.

"It's some Argent that contacted me. He said it was something between you two."

And he will especially not lose his affairs to someone like Gerard Argent.

Deucalion should have knew. This old scoundrel wouldn't let him go as easily. Before Deucalion was corrupted (and then he corrupted Ennis and Kali and the twins), he was a honest man, thus him knowing someone as rightful as Talia Hale, but after meeting Gerard Argent who forced him to steal and sell drugs for him, he fell into the vicious circle that could have aimed high schoolers and was stopped by an English teacher (Kali's ex) a year ago, and with Talia's help, he's put on the right path again (alongside of his team). And he left the unlawful business and Gerard Argent behind him. However, the old felon didn't forget him (or maybe it was because his cancer worsened and he wanted closure).

"What will you do?" Kali asked him once she aknowledged the name too.

None of them knew the man personally, but they did know he was the cause that made them fell so low.

    "I deal with that."

    "What about the boy?"

"Do you want us to hide his body?"

Theo tried not to flinch, because even if he knew what he was doing was dangerous and reprehensible, he made sure that look like a job. Editing image, text, coding, all the small thing (and sometime stealing infos) that could him earn him money. He never done some carding (because it was a personal issue for him and he would have live more wealthier), or cyberpimp (he didn't fall that low and he's still a child himself) but a crime was still a crime and he had to be punished. But killing him just because he attacked a blog (it was just a stupid blod about quote!), would be a little too much.

But, well, he didn't really have a say in that, he's their captif and a poor underage that no one would miss if he vanished. So, maybe death wouldn't be that bad.

"No, death would too easy for him, he had to learn something from that, don't you agree?"

Four evil grin matched Deucalion's own smirk. They will make the boy drudge.

So, for a whole month, he helped either Ennis on his contruction site (building him his body more than work out room) or the twins worked on bikes and cars (knowing a little more about mechanics) and did all the chores at the bar's closing (sweeping, taking out the trash and the late washing-up) all for free (of course). In exchange, Theo was allowed to sleep under their roof, a flat customized by Ennis and his construction skills and Kali's architectural sence, and had free foods.

He didn't know why they were so liberal about living with him, until he had to help them do some cyberjobs. He guessed his cyber skills won't go on waste.

Theo must admit that he started to get use at this kind of days, he was ready to live like that for the rest of his life (like they all settle to have this peaceful life after a criminal life to some degree), but then Kali let him work for her, as in to serve the customer some drink for the night shift, as Alicia (Kali's only employee) worked for the morning shift being a lady.

"She had to work so she could make the end and feed herself and his high school borther, you know," Kali told him once.

And Theo thought about his own big sister who didn't contact him after he left the Raeken house, of maybe the Raeken didn't even told her as she's in internship, and nodded distractly because he certainly didn't understand how usual sibling bonds were working.

Tonight, he was serving this regular woman, that usally came during afternoon to make a chat with Kali about annoying customers (she must be working as waitress too), when she suddenly asked if he was even in age to serve her drinks. He panicked and lied badly. It all went wrong starting there.

Long story short, Laura (the woman's name) made a deal with Kali and was now employing him as waiter in her family dinner in the center of Beacon Hills. None of his flatmate see anything wrong and let him be, so now, he was working and being paid, like some normal teenager. Except, unlike the teens that were working to have cash, he wasn't a student.

Laura was surprised, she rarely met drop out kids. Especially someone so witty as Theo. And she must touch some word to Kali, who talked to Deucalion because the man talked to him one night. He proposed him to enroll BHHS this fall.

    "Why do you care?"

"Well, we wouldn't like to be reported by holding an underage in forced labor."

Theo rolled his eyes at the man's snarks.

"I droped at 16, nothing to worry in this case."

"But you didn't graduate, did you?"

His marks were good and he passed his SATs a first time before his sophomore year (because he knew then he will be dropping school) with 1530 points and since he dropped at the moment he got his sixteen, it wasn't enough to calculate his GPA.

    "Do you want to?"

    "Yeah, of course."

It was then settle, he was enrolling to Beacon Hills High School this fall, while still working part-time for Laura Hale's dinner and doing chores to Kali's bar Alpha Pact.

    Part 2

  • Their return to Beaccon Hills didn't last long.

    For every one of them.

Derek and Julia decided to move out of Beacon Hills and live to San Francisco, to the teens' joy. They will of course bring Cora with them and Theo used the chance to insert himself in the new house.

The loft wouldn't be sold out, it will stay in case if they return at Beacon Hills, and the Steiner twins werewolf of Satomi Pack will live there, as their alpha didn't have much place for them.

But Deucalion wasn't allowed to stay with them as he already had an history of brainwahsing them, so Derek and Julia will bring him with them too. Which surprised the man a lot.

Lydia also choose to move out of this town where she had a lot of trauma. Her mother was accomodating and accepted as she had the 'see no evil' syndrome and Lydia was sure that San Francisco won't have some supernatural problem, at least it wouldn't be her own adventure. She proposed Allison to live with them because the girl couldn't always stay at her boyfriend's place. Especially if it's small like a two bedroom apartment. And let's face it, Rafael McCall wasn't the best host ever.

Malia was kind of envious, even if she had a hold of her power and nature, she couldn't just show up at her father Henry Tate's door like nothing happened. Because there was seven years of vanishing. And her guilt to have accidentally killed her mother and sister under her biological mother's threat. Lydia came up with a story and sold out that she was lost into the woods and was found with the help of Allison (the girl that questioned him about his loathe of coyotes), which is half true.

And then, she set Natalie Martin and Henry Tate together so the girls could live together at San Francisco as Beacon Hills hold a lot of trauma.

Their new life at San Francisco was easy to settle.

Derek and Jen (Julia for the other because only Derek could use the pet name) bought the penthouse in the middle of San Francisco with a tons of bedroom so everyone get their own space. Theo and Cora bonded quickly, and so much they were almost closer than the actual siblings and everyone was used to Deucalion. They would go to school with Theo's truck (that, he may have gotten thanks to the Doctors, was still under his name).

The newly set family of Martate settle their new life into this lovely mansion (they could easily afford after selling the Tate ranch and the Martin house) somewhere in San Francisco with four bedrooms, so the girls could have their own space. And when Kira passed as promised the girls just spend the night together. To go to school, they just drove Lydia's car, and later Allison could afford one with the money she saved from her part time work. But Malia was just learning to drive, as she didn't get her sweet sixteen (in November).

Kate lived in the apartement next to the McCall and worked as police officer. She's also learning how to use her supernatural power and bonded with Allison whenever she could.

It's rather easy as when Allison and Scott want to reunite (usually after their morning run), she would propose her place, like it was the only thing that didn't go erased.

They all went to summer school. Because for extra credits (Lydia and Theo) or just catch up with the education (like Malia who suffered a hole of seven years of study, and Cora who studied abroard, supposedly. Allison and Scott were in between, having decents marks but wanting to have an advance and clear timetable at the new school year).

They would contact Kira and even do skype-homework with her. They would go to Beacon Hills and say hello to Brett and Lori at Davenford Prep or even watch Brett play lacrosse (or just check on the five coyotes familiar) , and sometime they would even catch up with the twins who were working their ass off to catch up with school too.

Most of the time, after school, they went to the penthouse and do their homework together. They'd put some music and would hummed along, or they would ask Julia to help them for some class as she's English teacher in their high school. Sometime, they'd even go bother Deucalion and his knowledges as he worked in the city library. And Derek would come home after a day as a construction worker and find them laughing or eating snacks while Julia's watching them with a fond smile and Deucalion would be sitting somewhere and reading some old book, because that's how they're.

It's not perfect, life didn't go easy on them, but they'll face it.

They stood up if they'd be beaten, and they would overcome future threats together, as the found family they were.

    Twilight Parody

Scott and Allison were cuddling against the gate of the high school. They were whispering to each other some sweet words and just acting like a perfect couple while waiting for the other to join them or just waiting the beginning of the school day.

During class, they'd share some together, but most of the time they woud find other members of their group. For lunch, they would eat together in the special table just enough for them and people will look enviously at them and their pretty look.

    Because beautiful people stick together.

Everyone knew that Scott and Allison are together and high school sweethearts. Some found them idyllic, others thought they'll just last for high school, but no one knew (except their group) that they're already engaged.

Nobody knew for sure about the others members situation but there were a lot of speculation about Theo and Malia being a thing. They did act like an old married couple but sometime they could just mess around like children (like they're both in the football team as wide receiver) and this is relationship goal, romantic or not.

Lydia and Cora never showed being tied to each other or even other people. Sure, Lydia would flutter her eyelashes and everyone would swoon at her foot but she never show interest in relationship and she was just the school's genius and the most popular girl being a cheerleader. Cora was more talented in sport and was nailing the others players in basketball but she was this unreachable person that everyone found cool. No one had the gut to say it, but they're pretty sure the two girls were a perfect couple.

Thankfully it's people's whispering and rumors never got farther than that, but Julia would chuckle everytime it reached her in the teachers room.

Beacon Hills a place for orphan

"You guys remember Danny?" Lydia spoke up.

Everyone shook their head because they never heard anything about a Danny.

"He's in the lacrosse team, right?" Scott recalled.

"Yeah. He graduated earlier but got me some news from Beacon Hills."

While Theo's snorting about the early graduation that had something with the guys hacker skills (because he also knew this stuff), Malia got intrigued about the change.

    "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah. Scott, did you know who bought your house?"

"No, my father never told me."

"Well, it's David Whittemore, the attorney's town. After his son's death, he promised to make teenagers' life easier. Like the one kid living across the Whittemore's street, got emancipated from his abusive father and is now living in your house that became a foyer. Or that one guy who was working his ass off without any adults noticing goes there too."

"That's great. I'm glad my house become a place where people in need could gather."

"Yeah, and the newcomer was victim of the abusive father from earlier who nearly let him drown in his swimming pool because he allowed an alcohol party."

"Well, I hope he got a longer sentence for that," Allison commented.

"Of course, and the three guys are now in better care."

"Don't any of you think your old house became a misfit friendly place?"

"Well, it's Beacon Hills. A lot of people suffered but none could afford to do something. So, I'm really happy that Jackson's father did it."

Lydia smiled because she missed hearing this name, but she nodded because it was a good thing to know that the town was beginning to be better.
