    Part 1

Theo was a good addition to his clique (who was only composed of him and Allison) as he's really good in sciences (like maths, physics and chemistry) and could help him and Allison for history homework (because he read a lot), improving both of their marks.

For the whole month they hung out a lot more, testing the water, before having to spend a week together.

In addition of their morning jogging, they start to skate after school as Theo and Scott (and Stiles too, RIP) were fond of skateboarding (and Allison wasn't as good at it as she was on ice skating). Even though Scott remembered they both were asthamatic, Theo seemed to have gotten out of this handicap and is very much healthy now. And while Allison's having some archer business, he and Theo worked out and he was even willing to play lacrosse with him even though he never played and wasn't that keen on the sport (he was the typical american football player)

They also hung out more in the clinic, as Theo's very good with dogs. He chose to tell them the truth about that.

    Theo's werewolf.

Like, an actual werewolf, those mystical creatures half-human and half-wolf howling at the full moon and attacking humans. Except some point of legends weren't actually true.

For one, they did not howl at the full moon, but get a boost of power at this time. They usually could transform to half-human and half-wolf whenever they want or if something's making them wolfing out. On the other hand, most of them did not attack humans, because then, they had to deal with hunters (humans hunting werecreatures with some incredible weapon, crossbow, bow and arrow and guns). And finally, they worked in pack with hierarchy and only the alpha would bite a human and turned him.

Theo was turned when he was young (it also explained his healed asthma), and didn't have much memory about it, just that made him move out. And Scott's heart clenched when he got what's he's implying. It was in fourth grade, hence they lost contact of each other.

Meaning that Stiles was also probably bitten. Because, if one could turn into werewolf by an alpha bite, other couldn't bear the change and die. Sheriff did say Stiles was bitten on the arm but everyone thought it was an animal attack. A probably sentient animal who ccould shift.

Finally, spring break came and they were ready to head to Beacon Hills (and had to find some excuse so the Argents wouldn't forbid Allison into the trip. Hence, to their eyes, Allison's is having camping with her girl friends who are really in camping, just not with Ally) to elucidate the mystery.

They set out directly at the end of the last day of school and drove to Beacon Hills in Theo's truck. They arrived five hours later and settle to sleep in the car, since the McCall house was sold to someone else last month and Sott didn't feel like asking Stilinski senior to crash at his house (the poor man).

So, early in the first morning, after stretching their sore muscles and using the school's locker room to shower and be presentable enough, they went to investigate the murder case that rampaged in the town for the last month. Of course, first step was to stop at the Sheriff's station.

Scott knew for a thing that Stilinski wasn't the Sheriff anymore (or the man'd be superman to go working after losing the last family member he had), but he was shoked to learn he actually passed away. Like, last time he heard about him, he as in intensive care. Look like he drown himself in alcohol and died. The Stilinski house was now under Elias Stilinski's name who won't do much as being hold in a nursing home several towns away. And the murdering case wasn't solved as there were other death, one they actually could have crossed if they got there earlier.

    Jackson Whittemore.

Scott stopped listening to Theo's voice, who went to learn more after he nearly faint at Stilinski's death.

"As his corpse was still conserved in the morgue because the cases is in progress, his parents couldn't held him a funeral."

Well, that's really too bad. The whittemore would probably sue the station, the father being attorney.

"What do you want to do, now?"

Theo's not asking him to decide their next move, but rather what he need to do to feel better. Because he did feel overwhelmed.

"Maybe we shoud check on Lydia, Jackson's girlfriend, well, when he was alive."

They went to the hospital, because it's where she was last time he was there and they did come at the right time as she was being relieved of her stay. They greeted mrs Martin and asked to talk to Lydia, as schoolmate. Something true only for Scott, and partially as former high schooler of Beacon High.

"Do I know you?" She started coldly.

None of them commented as understanding her mood. She was hospitalized for three weeks at least, and the moment she was released, she learned her boyfriend's murdered.

"I was on the lacrosse team with Jackson, uh, sorry for the loss."

    She shrugged with watery eyes.

"One may say he's not the only loss."

"Still, a loss is still a loss."

Maybe it was his tone or his eyes, to having passed though the same pain, Lydia Martin lost her cool and actually showed some emotion. She nodded quietly and just accepted his condoleances.

Mrs Martin called her so they could leave and Lydia let them here.

Except they met her again in a desert corridor when they were leaving too (As Scott wanted to checked his mother's work place one last time) and she was frozen in place.

"Lydia? Are you OK?" Allison called her out.

They thought she was maybe crying so letting Allison checking her out was for the best, but she held a face of suspicion.

    "Did you see this guy?"

    "What guy?"

    "You were alone."

"It couldn't be, he was leading me here and get into this room."

They were in the intensive care section, in front of the room named Peter Hale.

"I think he died too," she blurted out suddenly.

    "You think?" Scott repeated.

"I was hospitalized, I didn't stay in date about everything that happened at this time."

While Scott's confunding in apologize, Theo got Lydia's attention.

"Forgive me asking but why where you hospitalized?"

"I was attacked by a man. He may use some animal to bite me to unconsciousness and now the wound's still healing."

She touched instinctively her injury, hidden under her dress where the three's eyes fell to.

Scott and Allison look strangely at Theo, who nodded imperceptibly. It must be an alpha werewolf's bite, but the victim didn't turn into a werewolf, or wasn't conscious to be one. Which couldn't be possible according to her time of being hospitalized. Three weeks, and they didn't even know when she was bitten, but as the full moon would be soon, they'll know. They exchanged phone number with her.

They head to the library and gathered all the murders that happened, infos in the gazette or in Scott's texts he received from Stiles before his death. Seven deaths plus the one of Jackson and Peter Hale, the latter not confirmed yet.

They guessed they could check the preserve as most of them was found there, but it was a huge place and they didn't count much on it.

So they searched on the newpapers and find a string with the Hale house fire. It was implicit that they had to check on the only survivor member, Derek, but it wasn't easy as the man just returned in the town two months ago and never made a public appearance.

Now, they didn't have choice but to go in the preserve and hope to find something in the burnt house. They weren't hoping a lot but they were very surprised to see a familiar face.

    "Kate?"

"Allison! What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same question!" The young girl exclaimed.

"Oh, I was in the area because your parents said about forgetting something at their last trip and asked me to check for them."

"My parents were in Beacon Hills?"

Kate lost some easiness at her niece's surprise but forced a smile when noticing the boys' surprised eyes.

"And what are you doing here? During spring break? Wait, let me guess, your parents didn't know, right? And since Scott is here because of his home town, with a unknow guy, you want to..."

"No, don't finish your sentence, whatever you're thinking, it isn't!"

"Oh, is that so?" She defied them.

But none of Scott and Allison said anything knowing the older woman's thought. Quite surprisingly, Theo didn't say anything either, as the couple thought he would say something smug or snarky.

    "Anyway, let's have dinner !"

They had dinner in Kate's apartment. They ordered takeaway and chatted lightly but Theo's feeling something's off.

Then, after the meal, Allison asked to talk to her aunt privatly as she wanted to know about her parent's presence there. And she learned a lot. The Argents were actually hunters and Kate's brother and her sister-in-law came two months ago to hunt a werewolf who came back after six years of absence. Yes, Laura Hale, meaning that the whole family was born werewolf. Some people must be really scared to commit a genocid. But Allison's parents didn't find anything after a month there (and having to miss their daughter's birthday), but they decided to leave as the murder calmed down, the alpha must be taken down by an outside force. So Kate replaced them to find more about the case.

That's all Theo heard before the Argents women came back in the living room.

"Well, the night was long, I think you guys should go."

Implying Allison will stay the night here. Legitimate, instead of sleeping in an inconfortable truck with two guys.

    "Sure. We'll see you tomorrow."

Allison nodded stiffly, but was aiming a warning look to Theo.

"They could have stayed." Kate taunted.

"Not under the same roof as you," Allison answered back playfully.

It was the last Theo could hear before leaving the building quickly. Scott and him planned the night and chose to tail the aunt the following day. She looked like knowing more than she's willing to share.

"Lydia called," was the first thing Allison greeted them after getting in the truck.

Being a girl, she was the most expected to gain Lydia's thrust than the others two.

"What did she say?" Scott inquired.

"She dreamt or saw the man again."

"The invisible man that only her could see?"

"Yep, and she's also suspecting it to be a vision or something as she saw him in the burnt Hale House."

And Lydia's never been in this part of the town.

    "She was there?"

"Yeah, certainly after we get out as it was darker and the man was definitly asking something from her."

    "A probably dead man."

"A dead man who's haunting her. Does that mean spirit and ghost existed too?"

"They do," Theo confirmed "but nobody could see them, not even with werewolf's eyes. The only supernatural creatures that could see them are the banshee, I think it's called."

    "What it actually is?"

"Only women could show sign to be one. They sense and hear death. They also predicted the death of those close to them by screaming. But they're so rare that I never saw one."

"Well, meet Lydia, a new learner of her supernatural part that she wasn't even aware of."

"Maybe your family would know something. According what your aunt said, your family's coming from a long line of hunter, they probably noted all the supernatural they met, or used to hunt."

"Oh god, you heard. Of course, you did, it wasn't that far from you. Does that mean you werewolves don't have some sign to show your supernatural part?"

"Well, you saw me and Lydia. We're basically like humans if we don't show any power. She didn't know but I rather not be close to her."

"Understandable. So, what do we do? We go talk to Lydia?"

"Hm, actually, do you know what your aunt's doing for today?"

"Uh, she said she will keep looking for indices, why?"

A look between the guys made her understood.

"Are you suspecting Kate? I mean, I know we're a hunter family but that doesn't mean anything."

"Yeah, but look with an outside eye. Your parents came here and just after the news of Laura Hale, a werewolf, death is spread, they quited and Peter Hale seemed to be dead. Your aunt came here and Derek's missing."

    "Not dead."

    "Yet."

"She probably abducted him. Or worse, is tortuting him."

    "That's a grave accusation."

"We had to follow her to know if it's true."

"You're a horrible person to manipulate my feelings like that."

    "Look at my perspective."

    "Hush."

Scott chose to not interfere. The two of them knew some days before he was reunited properly to Theo, and they seem to have a bickering relation. He internally wonder if Stiles would chat with Allison like that. Theo and Stiles did share some similarity.

They found Kate after geolocalizing her phone (Theo also knew that kind of stuff and Scott's wondering what he didn't know and where and when he learned that), she lead them to some abandoned cabin in the preserve. And they were shocked (not really) to see she had binded and chained up a man and was torturing him with a whip. If Allison trusted Theo's hearing, Kate was asking where the body were and the man, most probably Derek Hale, wasn't cooperating. (10.4.2020)

As they couldn't bear this scene anymore, they planned to distract Kate's attention. Allison had to get out of the preserve and call her aunt and tricking her about knowing more about the Argent Family and possibly get their hunting notebook and just know more about Argents. While the guys get in the cabin to rescue the poor man.

Before parting, the couple shared an intimate instant next to Theo, who tried not to think too loud about being the third wheel.

It took them just the afternoon to set free the werewolf, who's so worn out, so they took him to late lunch and were quite amazed how muh he could eat. Like Theo said, they got fast metabolism, super strentgh, super agility and super sense, therefore it was only logicale they had to eat more. They want to question him about his presumably dead uncle but the man was so asocial it felt ungrateful from someone they just saved.

At least they got him to assume that uncle Pete was the serial killer who as avenging the Hale House fire, but also the murder of his niece and Derek's sister, leading to his murder by Derek himself. What a dysfunctional family to kill their own like it's nothing.

And since the alpha spark was originally from Laura, then to her murder Peter, but finally to his (justified) murder Derek, he's now the alpha. And Scott had to ask.

"Are you the one who bite Stiles?"

    Derek shook his head.

"I didn't bite anyone. Peter bite three people, all teenager. One rejected the bite and died in pain, one became a werewolf but at this time I already killed Peter so the turn may shocked him and he got overwhelmed but then Kate appeared and hunted him."

"So, she's the one who killed him?"

"Yeah, she cut his body in half, because that's how the hunters work. The Argents couple were the one who cut Laura's corpse."

"And now Kate wanted to do the same with Peter's corpse?"

    Derek just nodded darkly.

    "What about the last bitten?"

"No clue. She didn't manifest for a month. I thought she died but then, it's not in the news."

    "Because she's a Banshee."

"Those supernatural beings who can sense death by screaming?"

"Seems so as she's seeing your dead uncle who's haunting her."

"Well, it's not like she could ressurrect him."

Derek should stop assuming things so fast.

As the night fell, the guys were starting to worry about Allison who didn't give a sign for the day. When they decided to accompany Derek wherever he lived, for safety, they were stunned to see Lydia here. But she didn't seem aware of her actions as she knocked out the high schoolers and abducted Derek after making him sneeze purple ashes.

It was the full moon in the dark sky.

Once regained consciousness, Scott and Theo chased after the banshee in trance with Theo's scent. They got to the preserve (of course) and saw with horror that Lydia cut Derek to do something with his blood. Before they could do anything though, an arrow flew through the air and stopped the poor red hair.

Sh wasn't shot, as Scott would make sure a moment after, but Allison's aim was pretty terrible.

"Perfect! One stone three birds! I always knew the hunter's blood ran inside you, Ally!"

The praise wasn't that appreciated as Allison came out behind her aunt with a dark look. She shot an alarmed look at Theo, but quickly look at her boyfriend who was carrying the empty doll Lydia became after being haunted by a dead werewolf.

Kate was gloating when she pulled out a sword and approaching Peter Hale's corpse, but before she could cut it in half and did other monstrosity (not really since werewolf aren't humans, so she can scather them, she still get out as human), Derek regained the will of his body back and jumped on her.

He was shifted, with sharp fangs and claws and alpha red eyes, and would have seriously harmed Kate if Allison didn't intervene again by shooting the alpha in the shoulder. It was enough for Kate to knock him on the side and assaulted Peter's body in half, making Lydia scream to reality and Derek of more anger. He roared and attacked her though the pain in his shoulder and was so fast that even Allison couldn't do anything else than watch in horror.

    Derek bit Kate.

And even though the huntress let out a cry, she wasn't seething in pain, meaning she will be turned, Theo assumed.

"Oh, my god... Kate!" Allison came to the same conclusion as she ran to her aunt.

Derek was smiling ruthlessly, mouth bloody. "How ironic for a hunter to be turned in that creature they were hunting, huh, Kate? Now you're going to follow your sick code and end your life!"

Even through his yell, a pleased glint was in his eyes. She made him suffer, now it's his turn.

"N-no !" Kate got up in pain thanks her niece's arm. "I'm... will not..."

She didn't end her pathetic speech as the weight of the full moon was just just above her. She turned a horrified look to her relative before taking the flight, Allison's on her toes.

    "Allison!"

"Scott, calm down! You had to take Lydia out of here! She seemed to be still under Hale's influence and she could still do whatever ritual she was manipulated to do! And bring Derek with you because it's his blood that's the cause! Don't worry, I'll go after Allison!" Theo instructed before taking the run.

Well, he will go after Allison if he was sure she's still alive. The girl did chase after a turning werewolf after all.

So he wasn't that surprise to see a lifeless body in the bottom of a pit. It probably wasn't intentional, Kate was trying to get out of her cluth and ended up shoving her, which made her lose her balance and fall.

Theo jumped to kneel beside her and winced at her bad state. She smelt blood and pain and at the sight of how her body was placed, he could easily guess her spine was broken. She still managed to talk, though.

    "Scott..."

"Look, Allison, it seemd pretty clear you won't have many time before dying, so there's only one option, to take the bite. Thing is, your a huntress, and as you heard Derek, your Argents Code tell you that's either death or, actually it all lead to death, because you do not accept were creature. But, I kind of like you and Scott would be devasted to learn your death, so..."

He looked into her eyes, where pain and suspicion were mixing at his speech and he couldn't help but chuckle.

"I'm sorry I can't take your pain. I know you could if you accept the bite, you probably turn into a werewolf like your aunt did, and between us, I don't think she'll end her life, she didn't seem to follow the code, neither you have to. You were put into this mess without your knowing, so it just kind of survival thought, you know?"

Her eyes didn't seem to agree.

"Well, I do admit there's gonna be some downside, like mountain ashes from rowan wood, to wolfsbane and even mistletoe, but if you're careful, the bite's a gift."

    "Unlike you..."

Theo raised his brows and shot a glance to his hand, interwined with her, covered by a glove in montain ashes. His hand didn't react badly at the protection against supernatural.

"Oops, you got me. But, that's not the point. Are you gonna take the bite or no? Quick, or I have to carrry your corpse to Scott."

"Scott..." Sh whimpered. "I want to see him..."

"Then, it's settle! I'm gonna call an alpha, wait a little longer, ok?"

She waited. She didn't know how long but then Theo was beside her again with another person. It wasn't Derek, and she was kind of relieve by that, but a kind looking Asian woman. The alpha glowed her red eyes and took her hand. She was in so much pain already, she didn't even feel the bite.

"It's OK, now. You can close your eyes, my child."

So she did, feeling already a connection with this woman.

    *

    "So you're not a werewolf?"

"Not really. But as you saw, I could easily passed for one."

"Yeah, except, you can pass through mountain ashes and aren't weaken by wolfsbane. And probably not even by mistletoe or the lichen. What are you? A super werewolf?"

Theo snorted. "You can see me as one. I'm indeed better without the restraint, but it's only that. I can't take pain neither inhibit scent like you guys."

    "Yeah, thanks to alpha Satomi."

That made Allison open her eyes.

    "Oh, finally!"

Allison was greeted by a blong girl, seeming younger than her.

    "Hey, I'm Lorilee, your packmate!"

"Easy, Lori, let her breathe and realize what she is by herself."

It was a blong guy who talked. Handsome. Beside him was Theo, who waved at her.

    "Theo, what?"

"Well, you accepted the bite, remember?"

"I wanted to see Scott," she reminded him what she said.

"Well, you couldn't see him if you were dead, now, could you? So you had to take the bite and thanks god you didn't reject it, now, you're in your alpha's lair and meet your pack. Here, Brett and his sister Lori. There are others, but we're gonna stop here."

    "Where's Alpha?"

"Checking on Derek. Since he's a lonely alpha and could easily be taken as omega, she proposed him an alliance."

    "If Derek's here, then..."

Theo rolled his eyes. "Fine, I call your boyfriend."

Scott came later, when she was introduced to the whole pack (she could count at least thirty of them, not all were bitten (like her and Demarco Montana) by alpha Satomi, most of them were taken as omega like Carrie Hudson or after losing their original pack like the sibling Brett Talbot and Lorilee Rohr (why the different name, she didn't know), including bonding with the Alpha Satomi and trying not to held grudge to Derek Hale who saw his last family member being cut in half (while one of her relative was in flight, maybe dead). And Lydia was with him.

Allison tried not to show her jealousy at how close the two were. But she wasn't succesful.

"Why are your eyes glowing?" Theo called her out.

She checked herself in the mirror and her eyes were glowing gold and her fangs out, and probably her claws too.

"Calm your heartbeat. The adrenaline is making you wolf out," her alpha advised her.

She complied and found her human form again when Scott was close enough.

"My girlfriend is a werewolf," he breathed out, amazed.

And it was enough for Allison to smile sweetly at him.

"Lovesick," Theo mumbled without bothering them.

"But genuine," Lydia commented with a longing voice.

"I know someone in Eichen to help you," Satomi told her kindly.

    "I'm not crazy."

Eichen House is a mental health treatment facility. And Lydia may see dead people, it was real and totally supernatural.

"Oh, absolutly, my apologies if it comes out wrong. I was saying I know a banshee residing here, Meredith Walker, it could probably help you train your powers to seek help of a peer."

"Oh. In this case, I appreciate your help," the girl said, losing her coldness.

Well, since she got this power, she better used it or someone may manipulate her again.

So, Lydia was warming to the trio and Derek, who she abducted without her knowing, but she finally left them at the same time Derek chose to go home. When the trio wanted to follow, because they're not sure where Kate was, Satomi stopped them as Allison need to train to control her wolf.

    "What to you mean?"

"Well, I heard that you're schooling in San Francisco and as I can't travel and leaving my pack behind, who got most of their life in Beacon Hills, you had to train to be werewolf during those two last days of spring break before leaving."

"How long would it take? I can already control my heartbeat to not wolf out at ramdom."

    "And what about full moon?"

    "What about full moon?"

"Well, you were lucky enough to be turned on full moon and on the edge of dying so your werewolf powers were concentrated on healing you, but for the next full moon, you're going to need an anchor to help."

Realization fell on the newly turned werewolf and she looked stunned.

"So, not only I'll go berserk on my periods once a month, now I'm a werewolf, it's grown to twice a month?"

"You just resumed perfectly female werewolf," Lori agreed.

Allison punched Theo in the arm so fast he barely registered.

"Thanks, Theo. If Scott's injured, I'm taking revenge on you."

"Well, if you're that worried to harm him twice a month because of losing control, just remove your female part. It'd lessen the charge in half since it's the most uncontrollable thing."

    "That was mysoginic."

"Glad to see someone else realizing what a prick you are."

"It wouldn't be a problem if you were a Chimera, you're not really a supernatural but do gain their power."

"So it's what you are? A Chimera?"

    Oops.

Allison spend the rest of the day training her wolf and finding her anchor under Scott's amazed eyes. While Lori was dying to know what a Chimera was.

    "So you're part-werewolf and part-werecoyote? What's the difference?"

"Well, I'm faster than you average wolf since coyote are the fastest animal and greater predator. So, as I'm both of the greatest predator, with great extra and without weakness."

"We just ask the difference between werewolf and werecoyote, calm your shit."

"Also, you said yourself that you don't know how to be an actual werewolf."

"Geez, I was just explaining the catch to be a Chimera, no need to be harsh."

"You're really insufferable," Loru sighed then exchanged a look with her brother.

    "What are you doing?"

    "What are we doing?"

"You're doing this look thing between siblings. I know, I used to do that with my sister before..."

He didn't finish, realizing where his thoughts where leading.

    "Anyway, that's it?"

"Actually, no. We need to use your werewoyote part for something."

Brett was frowning like he wasn't sure about his little sister's choice. But he eventually shrugged and explained what they wanted from him.

"So, you want me to attire the coyote running in the forest because it's hunted by a human hunter because it's actually a werecoyote?"

    "Yup, pretty much."

"If it's really a werecoyote as you think it is, why don't you ask your alpha to roar at it?"

"We can't!" Lori stated fiercely. "She didn't know."

    "And you know, because?"

"We highly suspected it." So they actually weren't even sure about the supernatural part. "But we're also buddhist and we can't really let the human hunt it."

"So, are you going to show us your mighty power of werecoyote or not?"

Since the guy's so smug, a little praise could catch his attention, right? Seemed like Theo had a need to prove himself.

The five of them (with the addtion of the cute and lovely couple of human-werewolf) go to the other side of the preserve, where there was a ranch, belonging to the human hunter of werecoyote.

"Why is he hunting it anyway?"

"Fight me if I know, he wasn't an easy man to talk."

"OK, we're going to part here. Allison and Scott, you go distract the hunter, as respectively hunter and human and Brett and Lori, you keep my clothes."

The siblings and the couple shot a him a weird glance but then froze when he undressed. And not just the top, pants and shoes and underwear fell too and he was naked under their wide eyes. Then, without missing a beat, he shifted into a brown wolf and sprinted into the woods.

    "Can I do that too?"

"What? Getting naked or full shift?"

"If full shifting means getting naked, then both?"

"Well, I heard Derek's mother have the capacity of full shift but it wasn't something everyone could do."

    "Too bad..."

Scott's face fell at Allison's thoughtful look but then Lori pushed them out as they had to do their part of the plan.

    "He's well build."

"Oh my god," Lori sighed while half-laughing.

Later, after dissuading the hunter to chase the coyote while wolf Theo's chasing it, Brett decided to check as it took longer than expected. And with reason, he huffed exiting the woods with a brown wolf.

"He was mating with!" Talbot groaned.

"Well, someone got to enjoy themself," Lori commented sarcastilly. "Did you find out if it was a werecoyote, at least?"

"How could he? He was too lost in his orgasm to remember his plan!"

"Chill, it was the mating season for coyote and wolf, I was just doing my job as full shifted."

His explanation was ponctuated by him dressing back in his clothes that Scott neatly folded. Lori kind of regretted not letting them on the floor. He deserved it for not going according to the plan.

    "So, it wasn't a werecoyote?"

"No idea, but it did felt connection with my werecoyote part even though I looked more like a wolf when full shifted."

"So, how was it to fuck when full shifted?"

"Weird. I'm not really used to full shift, even less mate in this form."

"Oh my god. Does this count as zoophilia since he was in his wolf form?" Allison gulped.

Theo shot her a dark look but the group was thinking seriously.

"But then, we did it for nothing. The hunter will just start hunting the coyote again once we left and he would do it easily as the animal is impregnated."

    "If it was a female."

"Like you'd do it with a male."

"What would I know? I was in my wolf form, I wasn't even conscious of my act till you find me."

"But if it was a female, which most certainly is as they let you do the work, they're going to give birth in two months."

"If it was a real coyote and not a were." Theo enjoyed breaking the news.

"So a werecoyote couldn't give birth even full shift?"

"You'll have to discover it," Theo ended the discussion. "Look at the good side! If it's really a female and she'd give brith in two months, she wouldn't risk it by sprinting in the woods and get caught by the hunter, hence ending her future baby!"

"But if it was a male, and a were, he could still be skipping into the woods and get hunted by mister Tate's hunting skills. And the man isn't an amateur as he was hunting the animal for seven years!" Allison called him out.

"Well, my job ends here. Besides, he didn't catch after seven years hunting it."

"Not only you insufferable but you're not even helpful."

The girls exchanged a look, agreeing, but Scott defended his friend.

"Theo couldn't do the impossible! He already did what he could!"

And that's why everyone love Scott.

    "He was just enjoying himself."

And this was why Brett is a killjoy.

The trio returned to San Francisco after spending the last day with Lydia and knowing more about the girl, who was actually mathematically gifted, and promised the pack to be careful. It was a good thing that Derek and Lydia could count on Satomi pack, even if Lydia had to see the siblings after school as they did not attend the same high school, the siblings being in a private school at Davenford Prep.

Four months passed and a school year ended. And a family.

The Argents uncovered Allison's secret. As they never taught her anything about their lineage, they didn't ask her to end her life (neither did they want to) but they cut all contact with and Allison won't have anything to do with the Argents hunters. At least she didn't tell them anything about Kate, who may or may not end her life since the bite and not having given sign of life. The only things she inherited from the Argents was given by her aunt, the heirloom pendant and the bestiary (and also some of her skills to hunt).

Now she's forced emancipated and living with Scott who promised his dad to not get distracted by her presence, neither getting her pregnant and still working in the animal clinic to help with the fee. Allison and Theo were also working since he turned sixteen in April and they're colleagues in the cosy coffee shop, saving enough for another trip to Beacon Hills.

Who would know they arrival matched the one of the Alpha pack?

Certainly not Derek when he saw them at his door while he was fighting the terrible Ennis.

    "Are you two his betas?"

"Definitely no. I don't have anything with him," Allison denied immediatly with a disgust look.

Theo was wrinkling distatefully his nose. He's not beta of anyone.

That distracted enough the bestial alpha and Derek shove him out of his window and they heard a crash and a curse but otherwise, the alpha seemed to have left the building. The empty loft with a hole in the bay window looked painfully messy.

"What are you doing here?" The lonely alpha grumbled.

"Asking to crash. We didn't feel like spending the summer holiday in San Francisco with Scott's absent dad and Allison's hunters parents."

    "What about yours?"

    "MIA."

Derek and Allison looked suspiciously at him.

"Not anymore questions and I won't lie to you."

    "You're such a mystery."

"Because you're not? Who was that man?"

"Well, as you saw, my place isn't really safe. It seems I had contracted some enemies who want my life of rather alpha statut."

"But it's the only place that could fit us all. Like, we can't really ask Lydia to crash at her house as the Martin already had money issues."

The mother and the daughter already sold their lake house belonging to the paternal grandmother to the Whittemore (who also succeed to sell off the Stilinski house by any means) and the mrs Martin was working in the high school as biology teacher at the death of the last one, mr Harris.

"And we can't really ask help of my alpha, she's already busy with the pack."

It would actualy be the logical thing to do but Scott and Theo did save Derek's life once and as fellow werewolf, he did want to help Allison, so he let them crash two of his bedrooms, empty of furniture, of course.

    "So, what's the deal again?"

Because, of course, Beacon Hills' striked of murder, again.

"This time, there's serie of three death, sort of like a ritual, according to Deaton."

Scott's head picked up at the name. Who would have thought the vetenarian he admired was actually a druid and emissary of the Hale pack? Before they get out of the town last time, Deaton explained some thing to Scott and seemed fond enough to want to train him as future emissary.

"Rituals could only be performed by druids, right? But since most druids ended up being emissary to advice werewolf, they couldn't do something as ruthless to take people's life. Then, it's a counter part?" Allison guessed, thanks to her bestiary.

"Indeed. Deaton said it could be a Darach. The dark counterpart. They used a sacrificial ritual in five steps, there was a celtic five fold knot on the Nemeton where the sacrifice where found."

"Was Lydia the one finding them?"

"You know the answer. But she didn't walk to the Nemeton, thanks to Meredith's training otherwise she'd be caught by the Darach. She determined how the Darach worked, each group of victim had something in common. The first one got three virgins, the second three warriors and the third three healers."

    "Nine deaths."

"Yeah, with blow in the head, sliced throat and strangulation by garrot."

"You wouldn't happen to know what the next three would be?"

"Nop. And I don't have time to chat with you, I'm waited elsewhere."

"Why? Do you have a date?"

    His silence was enough.

"Oh my, you're sure she's not a mass murder secretly?"

Derek glared at Allison, who knew the story because of her bonding time with Kate, and Scott apologized for his girlfriend behavior. Because it stinged.

"We're looking out for you," Theo chiled. "I mean, you're certainly attractive but not with this dark look, so if she accepted this part, either she has a plan or she's maso."

"She could have seen Derek's good side," Scott chimed, always the kind one.

"Which one are you talking about? I'm not sure we're talking about the same person."

"Stop being mean. But I do want to know how she put up with you," Allison inquired.

The older just rolled his eyes.

"I saved her from an omega."

    "What happened to the omega?"

"Cut in half by Gerard Argent."

    "Who's that?" Allison gasped.

    "You don't know your grandfather?"

"Well, I didn't even know my family was hunters until four months ago. And once my parents discovered my lycanthropia they didn't want to tall me aything about, especially the taking off my own life, so..."

"Well, he's psychotic and didn't follow your code to hunt those who hunt you and killed every werewolf on sight, vision he taught his daughter, Kate. At least, his son's the correct one."

Then, the two werewolf exchanged an understanding look before Derek's leaving.

"Wait, then, where's Gerard, now?" Theo's crunching his nose.

He didn't like to not knowing.

"The darach attacked him after the second sacrifice and he's now in hiding and recovering."

"Lori! Brett!" Allison greeted them with happiness.

Scott also hugged them, because Lori's friendly and because he played Lacrosse with Brett. But the siblings ony shot a glare to Theo before showing his the reason.

"Aw, they're so cute!" Allison awed at the sight of five baby coyotes.

    "So, it was a female."

"And a werecoyote! The pregnancy took four months instead of the usual two and not finding her mate that impregnated her, she gave me all her litters because she remembered my scent."

    "When you cockblocked us."

"Oh, if you're assuming your role, it's only legitimate that you took care of your offspring, right?"

"Well, now, it did sound zoophilia."

    "Not helping, Ally."

"Like come on, why don't she take care of them, herself? It's useful, coyotes."

"Tell her that yourself! Like you said, she's so fast I couldn't catch her, and there were five fricking cubs!"

"But I'm more of cat person."

"Isn't that ironic for a canine chimera?"

"It's not like I chose." Seeing their thoughtful look, he cut short their possible questions. "Fine, I'll take care of them and trained them as the greatest predator and perfect familiar."

The next day, they met with Lydia who watched carefully the five coyotes.

"And they couldn't take human form?"

"Don't think so? They were born from a coyote form mother..."

    "Where she is, anyway?"

    "Huh, still in the wood?"

The deadpan look she shot at him was peculiarly insulting. As Lydia get into the supernatural world, she started exchanging with the trio a lot, and her conversation with Theo were especially heat as they were discussing science with Scott adding sometime his opinion. He could easily say they were basically on the same level of smartness, so yeah, her look saying how much he disappointed her was hurting.

"Then, why don't we go find her?"

"You just want a break with all those sacrifices, right?"

    "You have no idea."

They head to the preserve as the Talbot and the Rohr told them where the werecoyote took off. Because, well, after giving birth, she did have more will to live and it wouldn't happen with the hunter still in his ranch area.

"How are we going to find her? Should you howl or roar?"

Scott wasn't directing it at someone specifically but as he's between two shifters who could do both, his two friends answered him.

"Well, a howl in the midday would worry whoever heard it so I opted for."

"Well, then do it, because I'm certainy not howling," Ally snorted.

She may be a werewolf she didn't want to act bestialy.

Theo howled and something between the trees shifted. however before they could localized it, Lydia screamed. It shocked everyone, but those with super hearing got more damage.

    "W-what?"

    "Derek," Lydia gasped.

"What about him?" Theo mumbled while retrieving the coyote caught by the scream.

"Well, I'm a banshee, why do you think I screamed for? Derek's obviously in danger."

"Oh, you're a dangere radar, now? And where is he?"

    Good point.

They didn't got any new from Derek till nightfall. They were in apha Satomi's lair with the pack, when Derek came in. He wasn't hurt, not physically, but he got this crestfallen look.

    "Jennifer's the darach."

    They didn't know who's Jennifer.

"Wait, you mean, Jennifer Blake? The new english teacher? Your girlfriend?" Lydia prompted.

"Oh, hun, I'm sorry," Allison whispered.

She did make fun of him yesterday, but the truth still hurt.

"Did she tell you why she's doing it?"

She need power to stop the alpha pack lead by Deucalion. The one who ordered Ennis to attack Derek to test his strentgh, then killed him off because for some reason and then he deceived the others alpha of his pack so they attack Derek again, but he was with Jen... well, actually Julia Baccari, one of the alpha's former druid, who was seeking revenge and killed off Kali, the said alpha. Then, she also snapped the neck of a merged alpha, who was actually the combination of twins but they survived, but when she went to attack Deucalion, the alpha of alpha, she wasn't strong enough so she made other sacrifices.

    "Great, three more deaths."

"She said she will keep going on till Deucalion's dead because of his barbaric method."

"Which are killing of his own?"

    "But for a reason."

Everyone got on their guard at the new voice.

"Please, don't bother you're not fighter if I'm not wrong."

"What are you doing here, Deucalion? Wanting me to join your alpha pack?" Satomi spoke up.

"Well, not really, I doubted you're willing to kill your kind." He slide a look on the pack behind his shade.

    "Wait, you're blind?" Theo guessed.

"Well guessed. What gave me out?"

    "Your shade?" Lydia chimed.

"I wasn't always blind. But thanks to Gerard Argent, I lose my sight and ended up killing off my pack in self defence, now my goal is to create the strongest pack."

"Of course, it's Gerard," Allison sighed, already knowing where it'd lead.

    "And who are you?"

"Allison Argent, his granddaughter. And if you think about taking me as hostage, I have to warn you that as I didn't know he was alive, I doubted he knows about me."

"Like we're going to let you touch one of us," Brett added.

"Brave, but I also doubted Gerard would pay attention to a werewolf relative. But now, that the darach killed off Kali, one of the strongest of the alpha and sacrificed three philosophers, her next move will be strategic and I need Derek Hale to work with me."

"You're gonna use him as leverage?"

"Tempting, but too easy to fight off. No, you're gonna convinced her to heal my blindness with her healing power she gained after the three sacrifices of the healers."

"What's the catch?" Theo pushed up.

"I may stop gathering alpha for my pack and live like a visionnary I used to be."

"Really? I remembered my mom saying you were that kind of person before losing sight."

In every way that term meant.

"But Jennifer will listen to me?"

"Well, she did heal you when you were injured badly by Kali and the twins and said she own you her life because you kill a virgin on the Nemeton."

    "You sacrificed a virgin too?"

It wasn't on purpose. It was his girlfriend at that time and Peter (him again!) convinced him that if she take the bite from Ennis, they live happily after, but she rejected the bite and he had to kill her to apease her death. And Kali happened to mauled her druid near the Nemeton, were Julia/Jennifer used this spark of power to maintain her life.

"Use her emotion to bind her to you."

    "That's Machiavellian."

"Name's Deucalion. But I'm flattered you think I'm the same level to this admirable author."

    Funny.

But by the time they caught on the darach, she already completed the ritual by sacrificing three guardians. Thankfully, her feelings for Derek were genuine enough and she took the time to listen what he wanted to say. But when she laughed when he said he still have feelings for her because Deucalion must be behind it and will jumped out and attacked her, Derek just look quietly at her and she showed him her true face, not the darach one, not even the Jennifer Blake one with glamor, but the one she bear as Julia Baccaria and nearly mauled to death by Kali.

"You're still beautiful, just like the rest of you," he echoed his mother's words when she first saw his blue eyes.

Because it's true. Even with all her scars, she's still a good-looking woman that he fell for her quirk and character and not her physics.

Moved, Jennifer decided to trust him and healed Deucalion's eyes, who was leaving to kill Gerard who was in hidding. But then, the twins came and warned them about Gerard. Irritated to be interruptions, Jennifer killed off the hunter with her boost power.

    "Everything ended well, then?"

    "Just, what about the werecoyote?"

The werecreature growled at the group and glowered her blue eyes. Better not be on her bad side if she already killed.

The only one she tolerated was Theo, because his scent remind him confort and her kind.

(and also because they had some... Affairs...)
